it feels like delirium is the only map that actually feels somewhat fresh/different compared to all the other maps and its not in? im already bored by the stream and it hasnt even started yet. im not sure if i even feel like keeping it open in the background like i've done before.

Tho I don't watch faceit much either and rather prefer zoot/125 fps because faceit cast feels fake and put-on.

I think ql desperately needs more players, every week is the same, its never any new storys or new challengers. Everything is very predictable same 2 or 3 players who wins. Also i would like to see a good duel map without lg. Really sad tdm is dead, it was very fun spectating tdm when the scene was alive and active. I wouldnt want tdm to take over and kill duel but to have a strong and healthy tdm scene as an alternative to the atm stale duel scene..

But as is obvious the problem is that ql has to few active players sadly :(

QL isn't as luck based as many other games and the story with other competitive games is the same. SC1 Koreans started to dominate SC2. 1.6 players dominate CS:GO. You won't see a big story from a newcomer getting into a LAN final :D

And still we see new faces every year in QL online cups: Evil, pavel, baksteen, ash, twister were all unheard of in the IEM times.

Spartie came from "no where" and got 2nd place at eswc athens. But thats beside the point, wich by the way you missed. There are to few active players , and the ones that are competing is known inside out.

There are almost never anything unexpected happening in faceit or 125fps. Every week is the same, same players reaching quarters, semis and final. Look at this weeks faceit evil and ash final. If cypher signed up it would be a cypher and evil final. It is getting very stale, you can more or less predict the entire tourney just by looking at the sign ups.

If all old pros where active it would atleast be a little more variation or if there was more active and competetive new comers. I think its to late for ql tho. It wont be any better than it is atm, maybe a short burst of activity if a new lan tournament gets announced.

There were a lot of upsets in 125 fps cup and different guys in 2nd groupplay and even playoffs? You know that it takes time to get good especially if there is almost no money on the line? Like in any other game, good people dominate and it is hard to get there. Or do you expect people after half a year to be ablte to compete with the best? Get real ...

Sigh no i dont, and thats part of the problem. No new players that stick around long enough for them to be able to challenge, old pros quitting. Result is we have a handful of players who can win a faceit, and thats down to TO FEW players playing the game long term. Whats so hard to grasp? Maybe i am shit at getting my point across. And btw looking at teamliquid for the tournaments for 2013, 2012 in sc2 i would say its atleast 40 different winners, and as i see it that is because there are a massive amount more players active in the game!!! Hence my point QLs problem isnt that its to few new maps or whatever. It is to few players competing which makes the tournaments very predictable and for ME quite boring.

There are plenty of decent up and comers. Plazma, boobtella, baksteen, madball, bukster (used to be), ash, twister, the poles (gienon, lesnzy etc), ins, seven and whoever I just forgot. Imo the last 6 months have been great for the duel scene. Maybe you have a problem with the game itself ..

The sc2 remark was partly aimed at t1e as he mentioned sc2. But it is quite true for sc bw aswell. It was more different winners during early q3 days aswell, and even if fatality, zero4, c3 or lakerman, polos or whoever won there was atleast a feeling that someone else could win.

Well bukster doesnt even play? Plazma have been around since the start of ql? Ash an up and comer? Please he have played q3/ql for a decade, he was one of the up and comer allready 10 years ago. Twister also been around several years allready, etc. But might be i am getting bored by the game itself, i was around during the golden years of q3. Even the first years of ql was quite exciting tournament wise. To me the scene is stale today. Especially the weekly cups is very predictable.

He did beat cypher who was a huge favourite for the tournament. I think it even was sparties first big lan, as a dueler atleast.

I think that the "Low" quality setting right now is 360p.
There is an even lower quality setting that is called "mobile", Zoot has recently added it to his twitch channel and i think it's 144p because it looks REALLY bad. It does the job if all you want is to hear the audio, actually i would like FACEIT to get that too, sometimes my internet is really bad.
