you didnt make it to the playoff. it was unk/l0w from group a, and neu/102 from b.

Only two teams from each group went through to playoffs this season.

Then groups were pretty messed up!:D (Both finalist from the same group, which wasn't even an upset....)

Russian stream is black screen (after playing an ad, of course that works!). Level Up TV is picmipped and lowered s_volume right after fixing the sound for a few seconds...

102 are the best TDM team ever now. They are like the rapha/cypher of TDM. Please somebody tell me how many cup finals that is now?

Agreed, but in that way they are not relatable(is that a word?) to cypher/rapha. They'll be the best no matter where they go, I couldn't say the same for 102. Again, I do give credit where it's due, and they have an impressive amount of wins.

Given that 102 repeatedly mercylimited everyone at Prague LAN (including 4oldmen, 300, lemmingseffect and teamCZE), I'm not so sure that e.g. Reason would currently be able to beat them. Let's hope we'll see this happen at the next big TDM LAN.

Well, the Prague lan wasn't a competetive lan like that, no topteams like any other big lan such as quakecon, or first dreamhack.

Sure, you might argue that the top teams at DH Summer 2011 or QCon 2011 were better, but (a) 102 didn't play at those LANs so we don't know how they would have peformed there and (b) the players at Prague were pretty much the best that are currently around -- and they got mercylimited.

How can you know that colwn and Reason would beat 102 on LAN if they never even played against each other?

the 102 tdm team is a it is now (latrommi kook lexaaa and so on) did not existed at that time (2011 dh and qcon, although it was created on DHW'11 i think, with cooke and green playing with matrox and someone else afaik); they (except for latrommi) were part of iP or some other russian clan which online were performing only on high/mid level.

Yes, but the best players were shattered around in various mixteams, while 102 were one of the only actual teams. So yes, they can beat a bunch of mixteams, I agree.

So fazz/fox/noctis/tybalt is a mixteam now? I feel like they have been playing together (in various constellations) a lot. Also lemmings effect have been quite a stable team for a while and CZE play as a national team regularly.

In the end, I think that four out of pavel/latrommi/cooller/421/starosta are even better than cooller/mikes/evil/jibo were at DHS 2011. And the latter team did play very well and e.g. almost beat Reason.

Yes it's a mix team with fox who's not active at all in anything anymore.

Honest question: Was deus active in 2011 or did Reason bring him back from complete inactivity? I'm not sure if he was already playing CS back then.

I think you said on stream that nobody has won as many ECs in a row as 102, possibly not even two in a row.

This great tournament history website was recently linked, so I looked up the EC winners there.

unmatched/SK won three ECs in a row:
EC II (2nd Formoza, 3rd All*)
EC III (2nd ic, 3rd All*)
EC IV (playing as SK; 2nd Vikings, 3rd QPO)

ic won two ECs in a row:
EC VII (2nd EYE, 3rd AaA)
EC VIII (2nd QPO, 3rd iron)
ic also won EC XI (which was 2v2)
And ic got 2nd place at EC IX (1st iron)
EC X was CTF, which means, if it wasn't for iron, ic could have won 4 TDM ECs in a row.

Thus, I would conclude that unmatched is at least as succesful as 102 and the consistency of ic is very impressive (if you count 2v2), because they almost consistently won over the span of 4 EuroCups, even with 1 CTF EC in between.
