The most of my previous mice really liked the texture of the Vespula "controll side". To bad its way to small even with my high sens setup (~12cm/360) The "speed side" of the vespula is wank compared to the "speed side" of the exact mat.

Destructor is my current mousepad aswell. (using a g100s)

The razer exactmat "speed side" was really great for laser mice (logitech G3 for example)

note: im talking about sensor feeling here. Guess the vespula "controll side" is the fastest. zero friction at least on hyperglides.

Thanks for the solid reply acid_reptile i do enjoy the size of the Destructor mostly because there are much smaller curves unlike the eXactmat and Vespula which largely take away from the size.

Is it true in saying the Vespula is slightly larger then the eXactmat? Perhaps i should try the speed side of my eXactmat just to see if i have the same problems at least. Confused if its the black or the grains on the surface which makes the new razer mice not want to work, would be pretty sad if it was the surface of the control side.

I will play around with a few different things and see if i can come up with any greater findings.

No. The vespula is actually much smaller than the exact mat. I even had to rotate the vespula slightly to be not to limited when doing RJ's in QL.

I used to also use Razer Exactmat but it got worn out like you said, so I've been using this: http://www.corsair.com/us/gaming-peripherals/...e-mat.html as a replacement to the Exactmat and I really like it. It's like just a bigger Exactmat for me.

If you have any surface calibration with the 2013, turn it off.

Which dpi are you using on the 2013??? use increments of 6400, IE 400, 800, 1600, 3200, 6400.

Personally I would stick with 400 or 800 DPI simply because recent avago sensors have been weird and worked better at low DPI, a complete 180 from what we could expect from optical mice from the past 15 or so years.

Use 1000 hz

Once you have your settings set to 800 dpi, surface clibration off, 1000hz, save / apply or whatever and turn synapse OFF (close the program / process).

You could also try, after all that, doing surface calibration and increasing the lift off distance to see if that works.

The lift off on the recent avago sensors g100s and whatever the hell is in the DA 2013 have been EXTREMELY low, like im talking on par with laser. So it could also be that, or you are moving the mouse as you recenter it which might do something.

The DA2013 has been really picky in my experience. If I use surface calibration and switch surfaces, It ceases to work on the new one. Performance with surface calibration is WORSE on my G-PAD than without it, and it also allows me to change between mousepads.

I am using 1800 DPI on DA, sadly i also dont understand how DA2013 with the exact same settings as 3.5G Reverse have great difference in sensitivity, my old Reverse was fast and easy, the new DA is so slow compared.

The DA2013 has the same sensor as 3.5G/Abysus (S3888) which is why i felt good buying it, as for performance its very good but in my case i found the LOD was much much higher then previous 3.5G

Calibration dramaticly lowered the LOD, i decided to just uninstall the program all together and leave the default DPI at 1800 and the polling rate at 500mhz with no calibration.

I guess theres nothing really to loose by reinstalling synapse and testing some of this out. 800DPI with default windows sensitivity would be like a turtle on my desktop with two screens, do you just up windows sensitvity to compensate and in game till your satisfied or do you go super slower everywhere.

Based on the mousepad talk in thread, i never had issues or need to replace any mouse skates before, but the new DA2013 look to have very thin and small skates, i bet they go quite quick.

Yes the mousefeet blow its insane how skimpy razer was, even fore them. How do you know its the same sensor?

Why 500 hz? Do you have a bad pc? If not, leave it at 1000hz; you cannot feel the difference between the two but the mouse will perform equal or better at 1000hz

I dont feel insulted, there is no real reason previously to understand and look into these things while owning the old deathadders as they have always been on point with no need to change anything on them for years.

1800 DPI x In-Game (4) is THE EXACT SAME as 7200 DPI and In-Game (1)

That is based on the formula in the link, my problem is, if a new Deathadder 2013 is 1800 dpi, 6/11 windows, no accel, same 4 senistivity in game then how is this new deathadder SUPER slow in comparison? There is nothing unless im looking over major part of the article that should effect my mouse like this.

I am like 99% sure there is no mouse accel as i would/should instantly notice this as i did years ago when i had to turn it off another PC. So in this case should i even bother looking in depth in the mouse fixes?

This actually says its a updated S3888 being S3988, so i could of mistaken but theres a thread i cant find with a email from Razer stating the 2013 and 3.5G share the same sensor so i guess take what you can from that and how much you trust razer. Should be pics somewhere too.

Let me know if theres anything else you can suggest i do, havnt wanted to play FPS games since i got this new mouse that is clearly much nicer then previous models.

Edit: any suggestions you can make based on my finding with default verse polling with drivers. it looks like the more DPI the less smooth it becomes, what is the definition of "smooth" in this case of the precision never drops below 99% and the movement speed drasticly changes on each test, what is the deeper reason or meaning behind this. The site linked is Russian with a mousetest.exe theres no real information to inform me and the deathadder link via there was just about the clipping at low DPI.

What you can try is A) using native 6400 dpi and 1.125 in game ( 7200/6400 = 1.125)

as the only confirmed native DPI, from razer, is 6400.

try using 800,,, 6400/800 = 8

7200/800 = 9



6400/1800 = 3.55555555555555555555555555555556 (likely an interpolated DPI if 6400 is native.)

The sensor itself could be in a slightly different location.

Based on that perfect control speed of .5 meters ( if that is actually what it was maxing out at) there is an issue with the surface or mouse... .5 is really slow and its maybe you are getting neg accel in game.

most people on CS load synapse, configure their mouse, then just close the process. I have even heard synapse causes jitter and random crap if left on but I cannot confirm.

Was i ment to start the process then Alt Tab in Quake Live while performing the movements? Like i said there wasnt really any info on the page or program.

I basicly just did it on my blank desktop and tried a variation of realistic movements in game, like abit of rocket jumping and strafejumping, some fast rail gun flicks, then abit of crazy all over the place lightning gun tracing.

Test during Quake Live, i realised during the polling rate test i was doing my max movement speed in game, when i just went crazy on my mouse pad it went to a more realistic Max Speed

I am guessing the 98% precision is ok to use, verse the 94.5% being abit low to use?

Guess ill just practice getting used to a new sensitivity if i have found the rest.

I am not an expert on that enotus test, but I do know that its not always 100% accurate. Maybe I am doing it wrong myself, but on many mice the reported DPI is wrong.

Just testing it out now with a Roccat Kone + optical pure (I feel ridiculous typing this name whenever I do, talk about long) and I don't reach 400 DPI at 4 inches like the test says, I have to move slightly more.

The speed test shows roughly the same performance at 400 DPI and 800 DPI 3.84 m/s @ 400 DPI, 3.47 m/s at 800 DPI. It was hard to break 3.17 m/s at 800 dpi, oddly enough. (on G-pad)

now with my DA 2013 @ 800 dpi and synapse ON I get:

2.68 m/s

@ 400 DPI generally 2.21, but after trying quite a few flicks for about 30 seconds I got it up to 3.17.

I don't think the DA2013 particularly likes my g-pad.

@ 400 DPI on a Zowie Spawn pad (black, cloth) i get 3.93 m/s, or ~156 inches / second.

@ 800 DPI with zowie pad and synapse on i get 3.90 m/s

Both mice were running at 1000hz

From what I understand, your sub 100% precision is likely just human error.

If you have your mouse configured properly, and you are using a mousefix I don't think that it would be any less than 100% precise... much more likely you were doing exactly the distance the software was asking for.

also, in my experience, all plastic mousepads I have used have eventually become slower and slower with time and use as the "grit" wears off and usually ends up with a mousepad with non-linear friction. Mine usually end up slow in the middle and slick on the extremities because it is newer then. I don't know if this is less of an issue with quake players, but playing CS this was a huge issue.

So, I bought a glass mousepad, with tons of grit, the komaq g-pad wide, and two years later it is still brand new. Granted, it eats micefeet , but that is a nice change from mice eating mousepads.

Do Zowie AM mice work for this?

The reason I ask because the Zowie AM mice do not work for the icemat glass.

I am not sure, I also have a green icemat, and mice track better on this pad than any other I have tried... icemat felt great, but was loud and mice generally tracked worse on it.

It is not at all like a icemat. Much less noise, and VERY gritty, basically like a fine sandpaper. There is far less friction with this mousepad than any others I have tried due to (i assume) reduced surface area contact due to grit.

I have tried : roccat savu, kone pure optical +, DA 3500, DA2013, G100s, G400, G500, G9X, M60, M90, Sensei Raw, Sensei MLG and they all work flawlessly.

zowie AM has the avago 3090, but I am unsure how that custom lense might interfere with things, because roccat and logitech use the stock lense, whereas zowie uses a custom one which reduces performance (max perfect control speed) as well as lift off distance.

You can only buy these directly from japan, mine cost about 100$ to my door, taxes, shipping insurance, etc.

To me it was worth it because I would buy a hardmat every 6-8 months @ 39.99 or something ridiculous.
