the way it looks in the video now...what software did you use to render it? what settings for it? whenever I've tried to render videos the quality always comes out badly or is like 1gb per 30 seconds =(

I dont get it. You should keep it simple. Fov 95-105 no fucking blur and no gunx 9000 when you use drawgun 1. Everyone is fucking clueless about everything....

It's not like streaming, Wolfcam creates video by rendering and then writing each frame one by one into an avi. Not rendered to avi in realtime like in streaming apps.
And Kevlark is completely right, there's no other way to get smooth looking Quake videos at 30fps. It's the same with any video. Nothing at 30fps will look truly smooth. Pause a DVD at random points for yourself and check, there's always motion blur applied.
Compressing 125fps down to 30fps looks terrible without heaps of blur applied, it's just the facts.

its not how smooth it really is.
if it is perfectly rendered frame by framed at 30fps and it is perfectly reproduced by your monster pc at perfect 30fps it will still not look as smooth without motion blur.

it is a matter of perception. you're used to playing quake at 125fps. so anything much less than 60 will probably not look smooth when you watch it. unless motion blur is applied which kind of fakes a smooth feeling.

Color team, fragmessage, sound switch weapons - it simply ask to fix. Blur and fov - I will not change. In general, I see that my CFG like most, so I choose this CFG and proceed to the creation of the complete movie.

Do not change fov, it's perfect.

The motion ( blur/fps/encoding ) looks fantastic, the sounds are awful though.

What encoding settings did you use? eg. what was the final format and settings for the file that you uploaded to youtube?
Also, what blur settings?
The end result plays fantastically on youtube! Which is a major challenge getting the motion to look so nice!

I capture 720p in 60fps and 10blur median in wolfcam, resample in vegas to 30fps losless avi and convert to mp4 in ripbotx64 >> upload on youtube.

Wheres the time, HP, armour, ammo that every movie maker seems to forget.

Lower fov and shit.....blur sucks too. A quakemovie cfg should be clean and sharp (like the one i made for my noobrape clips. I should actually rule the world when i think about it.

So I'm not ready to do the fragmovie because my config is still terrible, but it seemed to me that my config is decent. I will continue to work on it. Crappy color correction and lousy compression codec xvid, ripbot

In that ctf capture sequence, there is no symbol or icon to indicate the viewer, that the player has the flag :/ Maybe that's not necessary, but still...

and capture with seta cl_aviFrameRate "60" and slow-mo with 120.

Bad quality for smooth motion, I checked. For different quality demos (maxpackets) to pick a different blur to the quality of motion was pleasing to the eye, but I have not found such a formula
