dont know what the staff could possibly answer. all the content comes from community and they dont wanna openly discuss upcoming patches, business side of things wont either be portrayed for the public.

That’s a pretty general question. Will it have more fans than COD? I doubt it, unless we had some 100+ million dollar ad campaign that would force it down players throats as the best game ever, then no.

Is there a maximum framerate? What would be the minimum requirements to play at it or, say, 60 fps with ugly mode (+with every single option you can use to maximize framerate)?

There is no Max Frame Rate. We’re not sure what the min requirements to get 60FPS on ugly mode would be… but it would be fairly low.

Good. We will see if it works on the very worst systems; I'm downloading the demo. I hope there's a way to display the exact FPS and that the ugly mode is available with the demo.

My QuadCore 2.8ghz, 2gb ram, GF275GTX was getting around 60-85fps on ugly mode on certain maps.
Some maps i had well below 60 tho.

If these are driver issues i dont know, but i still feel kind of strange that an engine in 2012 is getting massive drops on pure BSP maps.

Hey, at least you get something. On launch, the demo told me my card wasn't supported. I still went inside and it wouldn't let me set ugly mode on. Then I went on "benchmarking" and it ran there without going anywhere during 40 minutes before I killed it.

You need fullversion to use ugly mode tho, theres quite a bit of wierdness when it comes to the demo version.

The guy who wins the ffa probably doesn't need the computer, because I played with bots and above 10 starts to drop fps like crazy. 5-10-15 never above it's like watching screenshoots....

Bots are apparently CPU heavy for the engine, so they're not great for benchmarking

thats unfortunate.., what they can do is force a shader on the weapon itself to be transparent, like they do with the invisibility powerup.

I really am hoping Nexuiz can make some impact on the fps scene, they need some top players whispering in their ear about dynamics and shit.

If I were them, i'd hire Rapha and see what he has to say about things.

That would be the best move they can make to create an interesting duel game.

If these pictures scare you, then I actually suggest you not only get scared, but run away, for a system as ludicrous as this one deserves no players.

I retried the game with those server settings changed as was written in one of the comments on previous post for tournament and the game with those settings is actually decent and more interesting...but default is too akward, especially total air-control should be killed with fire...

Is there any significant European player base in this game?

I mean teams(clans) - not just duel/FFA players.

If there were, I might consider installing Win7 and buying this game.
