First, any good player will look like they are wall hacking on small maps where you always know the location of your opponent and hear nearly every item pickup.

I still haven't watch the videos since I couldn't care less, but I'm just going to point out that flesh1/nohead seems to have improved massively in the last month, to the point some top players consider him to be cheating.

First of all, as I said I haven't watched the videos and I won't. I just clicked the links and noticed they didn't have sound and I don't know if those 2 players knew each others style, so those are worthless.
I might do so if you add sound to those and if this gets trolling-worthy here and on the Argentinian forums.

Secondly, the only thing I did was to add a bit of info so everyone can know some basic facts about the scene. I have not stated that Raynor didn't cheat or even that it'd be rather odd. What I mean is I'm not supporting him at all or any of the involved players.

I haven't talked to Raynor in my life. Moreover, I only stated the overall opinion about him. By searching flesh1 in qlranks it's pretty clear he improved massively in a single day, from getting stomped to being the stomper. I only said that it lead some people to think he cheats, so it may be the reason why Raynor cheated when playing against him (if he did).

finally, who cares. This is not ESR worthy because no one cares about Southamerica in almost any aspect of life. Specifically, there will never be a SA player making it to the top8 in an international quake tournament.
The saying is "you are as good as your scene is". That's why no isolated place player can win against northamericans or europeans when they take it seriously.
You can say whatever you want, but every time someone posts a video of southamerican players it's always mocked to death because of the lower skill ceiling. I don't think I'll have to rely on bichito's quakecon performance here, when there was a massive influx of Argentinians here saying that he could make an upset, he had the easiest group I've ever seen, no jet lag and all.

that's because you have to send them the demos first, and make them publicly available here. They won't ban someone based on youtube videos, especially if those don't have sound.

Argentinians obviously say Raynor didn't cheat, ESR says he does (bmes_, guard, scowl, amjw, erok and now myself. No one supports him so far).

finally saw the "part1 with sounds" video, and won't watch the rest because it's pointless without sounds:
I.- First of all, consider that you can hear a lot farther with qlhooks. Good examples are 2:40 and 3:13
II.- Raynor aims to rather obvious positions, but some of those are highly questionable: 0:27, 1:50, 2:20 to 2:35, 2:40 and 3:13 couldn't be clearer, 3:47, 4:55.
III.-. Raynor follows flesh1 smoothly through the walls for the whole map duration. That can happen from time to time, but not for 10 consecutive minutes.
IV.- My biggest problem with this is that Raynor knew exactly were his opponent was 100% of the time. Also he didn't got caught once in 10 minutes, and there aren't situations in which you can clearly appreciate he isn't wh because of missing shots by a wide margin.

even though I know this is going to cause some reactions from them, if I were an id employee I'd ban Raynor immediately....if I had the demos. As I said, everyone who posted here thinks the same, and actually some Argentinians started agreeing with this.

I understand he's an experienced player and all, but the video couldn't be clearer. Maybe he got frustrated after getting beat constantly by a rather unknown guy or something, but the thing is it is simply irrefutable proof.

I also get Raynor has q3 and ql experience and that he performed well in some LANs, but that has nothing to do with this. As I said, maybe he got frustrated and started cheating online when playing against certain players, but the only 100% clear thing is that he cheated on those matches.

Resorting to that or personal attacks doesn't cut it. The only thing that matters are the demos, and that's why known and better players were banned in the past such as sombra, zeroql, strenx, bichito (according to someone in the Argentinian forums) and diebaso (chilean player). All LAN proven and all that, but they cheated anyway.

What Argentinians don't get, since those are the only ones defending him, is that this is not about Raynor (the cheater, whom I have never talked to), the OP (banned 4 times, I think all of them for being an idiot) or flesh1 (playing against raynor on aerowalk, but he's a bit suspicious because it seems he improved drastically in a week).
This is just about getting rid of cheaters and not making the impression that you can get away with it.

as I said, all that has nothing to do with it. Personal attacks nor previous experience are unrelated to the videos, so if you want to defend yourself you have to focus on what matters, which is uploading the demos of the matches shown in the videos.

Better and more respectable players have been banned in the past with proofs that aren't as blatant as yours (imho). Furthermore, no one is discussing the said things and actually I pointed out some of those before watching the videos, so even I was biased towards your position.

What I mean with this is that you should upload the demos and make them public. All this site thinks you cheated not because of what you wrote, but due to what we saw. Contradict us with the demos; that's the only possible way.

I just hope your next post is a link to the demo of that aerowalk match ("part1 with sounds") and nothing else. Until that your global reputation will be the same.

Also 18 regular ESR users agree that the demos and videos clearly show that he used a wallhack on those 3 matches, while no one disagrees so far (18/18 is pretty conclusive), and he was banned from qlranks twice. 1) I have been playing with Raynor in Internet since 2005 and he always played in the same way, with the same level and skills. He doesn't use cheats.

2) outbrasil, the idiot who posted this was banned at least 6 times in quakelive. And what is even worse, he was banned for using wallhack, the same he is using to make this noobish videos.

i think he had quite a bit of time to improve, dont you think? i could say the same from etjx and raynor, since i beated them daily @ q3 with quite ease and quake 3 wasnt even my main game at the time.. and i had 75 ms while raynor had 45 and et1x 66, since i live in northeast in Brazil and the server was hosted in Southeast.

anyone can improve, anyone can get better, et1x and raynor are an example and they got a LOT better, and they play very well in the present time, so why cant a guy who always played in the highest level here in br, improve in a month? a month is a LOT of time for a guy who already knows the secrets of the game, knows timing, and tactics.. is just a matter of time to get in shape again.
I have nothing against argentina and chile, but i started playing quake live those days after almost 2 years without playing q3 and qlive, because klauz asked me to play with them the TDM tourney u guys are organizing, and YES, i can hit 33~40 lg with 105 ms quite easily, and i'm getting whine and crying all the time, i got kicked from the server a few times with rage from some guys, and i found that pathetic, its a game, learn to lose and have some good manners.

If anything, I just made fun of outbrasil at the beginning of this thread, and if you read carefully at the beginning I had the same opinion as argentinians do (not gonna watch the demos because the OP hasn't the greatest reputation to begin with, raynor's experience and so on), but the demos and videos are so irrefutable that I had to ask the ban, just like the other 13 ESR users. Everyone who's impartial thinks the same.

I wrote more or less the same you wrote but with 2 differences: I actively encourage people to report the cheater, now with demos and everything, and that qlranks doesn't lie.

While it's 100% clear that raynor cheated in 3 instances, it's also clear that flesh1 started winning matches from one week to another. Not saying that he's cheating, but that's most probably the reason why raynor started using a wh due to frustration.
If I were to give a personal opinion about him, I'd say that raynor should be banned first and then proceed to "investigate" flesh1, only because the first one is a known player so not banning him would be a terrible example to follow for other players of this region: getting away with cheating because of having a pro account and being a more or less known player.

What I find really pathetic about this is that raynor and his friends are trying to prevent brazilians from playing every SA competition and stopped playing duels with them completely, just because 2 of them initiated this. That's just sad.

Oh, so you think it is a good point to say that Raynor has played for 11 years or so and attended lan tournaments? Well, I can say the same thing about Klz or Nohead(flesh1). The thing is that Brazil has not had a lan event with Quake being one of the played games for a looong time. But they participated in a Quake 4 lan tournament, in which Klz was the champion and got payed tickets to France. But as far as I recall, that was the last one.

I don't find surprising the fact that brazilian's lg skills impress you. Brazil is the LG country. I might suck at Qlive, but in Quakeworld I have won the LGC2 tournament, and my clan mate Zip won the LGC1. Oh, I forgot to mention that the 2nd and 3rd places were brazilians too. So we got a pretty good aim too.

I didn't play much duel. But there's something I learned from watching a lot between professionals and these guys: prediction, sound and strategy.

Know well that these players dedicated all life long in Quake.
Know that Brazilians are cheaters.

You saw a video montage and you say he had to be cheating, well i show you a very similar way of prediction and now you change your opinion because is Strenx. In fact if you'll see demos from people who play aerowalk very well with shownormals you'll see similar prediction because in aero you can hear your opponent almost every time and if you have experience you can predict some moves and more if you play often with the same people. R4yn0R has played a lot of aeros with flesh1, you can see it in his profile or in qlranks, so this kind of prediction is possible.
You must realise that this is a stupid revenge from the brasilians who cheated and where banned a lot of times.

why didn't you upload the demos of those 3 matches then? if anything, that's the only proof of not cheating you could have used, but you didn't do it because you knew it would be incriminatory. The OP had to do it in the end.

That's how he regularly plays without using wallhack, which is on a whole lower level than what it is shown on those blatantly cheating demos and videos.
Knowing where the opponent is at all times, by seeing him through walls to the point he even shoots them 3 times on the discussed aerowalk match, does make a huge difference amrite.

Its a condump from the console.
Basically he says he doesn't cheat with his nickname outbrasil, only with his nick 1n.
He say he never cheated again and he cheat that time because he thinks all the server was cheating at the beginin. He says "is imposible to play without cheat in february 2010".
Then says that now he doesn't cheat, but, you have the video that he recorded with de QLHook.
I ask what cheats he was ussing that time and he says QLHook, he admits wallhack but he doesn't admit aimbot or another cheat. He says to me that the cheat has various options like aimbot 99% and i ask if you can put the porcentage of the accuracy in the weapons and he says NO.
Thats basically all.

nope. The account shown in the videos is "R4ynOR" with an "O", which was made in august 22 2009 and is still being used every day. Also R4yn0R" (with a zero) is not registered, and banned accounts are not deleted.

Seems like you can get away with cheating if you have a pro account, this being one of dozens of similar documented cases, or not enough people reported him (here's everything you need to report him) or id hasn't reviewed the case yet after two weeks.

If he doesn't get banned for being a paying customer at least he'll be known as the cheater he is anyway, and I hope he won't be accepted in upcoming tournaments.

Well the story goes like this. Flesh1 started dominating everyone here about a month or so and coming more or less from nowhere, so people started to be suspicious about the guy. Then brazilians actually caught an Argentinian top player (as lulz as it sounds) blatantly cheating, which is what this thread is about and I encourage you to report him since it's plainly obvious and the guy isn't banned from QL (you can use the info from this post). 16 regular users agreed so far and no one says the opposite, he was banned from qlranks and so on.

As a retort Argentinians started kicking every brazilian from their servers, and threatened not to participate in tournaments in which they participate (there are very few tournaments organized by them and they almost never sign in to chilean tournaments which are a lot more frequent, but anyway)

Thing is flesh1, his opponent on some of those videos (particularly the aerowalk match) and top8 in qlranks, was just banned most probably because of cheating.

I know the system is not perfect by any means since lots of reports almost always mean a ban considering that there's only one person in charge of the whole game, so maybe he was banned only because of that and without any conclusive demos or any proof whatsoever as we have seen in the past. This gets better and better.


edit: btw there aren't any demos available about that case (flesh1). I encourage argentinians to upload them here so we can do a decent and impartial review of those, hopefully with videos as well.

My opinion remains the same though. Demos and only demos are what matters, and that goes both ways. Raynor didn't want to upload them cause it was obviously incriminatory and now there aren't any demos about your case. That's weird to say the least.

It's unrelated that someone has 200 years of experience, or if he's a beloved member of their local community or if he was banned by id software, since as we all know they (or rather ordus) fuck up an awful lot.

I'd like to add that, in addition to all the fallacious arguments made in this thread, it seems r4ynor is going to start recording videos of himself playing in order to not get banned.

First of all, I'll start reminding that I didn't start doing all these posts because of a personal grudge or something since I haven't meet the guy online or irl once. I only "met" him yesterday in a server because he and other Argentinian players are chasing and rebuking everyone who is allegedly against r4ynor, including sirax and all Brazilian players, to the point those are getting kicked of Argentinian servers. Also, as a retaliation to this thread, Argentinians threatened not to participate in Chilean tournaments if a Brazilian plays it, and they will not be accepted in Argentinian tournaments only because one of them started this thread, even though the OP (outbrasil) never participates on those and is unrelated to their clans (he's pretty bad actually). All that can be read at their forums (nrggames.com).
I'm doing this since I particularly don't like how this community (lol SA) is dealing with the lack of an anticheat to the point cheats are getting widely spread, and not getting r4ynor banned wlil be seen as an incentive to continue to do so. Also I don't like how the situation has been handled here; it's mafia-esque to the point if this thread wasn't made he would have continue cheating for years even if some people knew about it, and top players were refusing to play flesh1 on the grounds that he was simply improving.
I also understand that he seems to like playing the game so much that he took all that measures and much more, but cheaters truly kill the game for everyone else, and as we all know "once a cheater always a cheater". It's fairly obvious that he'll create a new account (if Ordus finally decides to review the case), but I hope that at least he won't be accepted in upcoming tournaments.

Anyway, I'll deal with those upcoming videos even before he bothers to upload them. Those are unrelated to cheating accusations since that only shows how someone plays in a different match, and in the end the only thing what matters are the demos of someone cheating in a particular map.

A player is ban worthy even if he cheats once. Doesn't matter how he played before or afterwards or how good he is (way better players were banned in the past), but this case is particularly easy to tell anyway as you can see in #67 (simply obvious, not once but we know of at least three times, which is more than zeroql and sombra for example, everyone agrees, etc.).

Flesh1 got away with it since he records himself playing since some months ago, so most probably he recorded the very same match shown in the accusation demo, which btw wasn't made public for some reason.

and finally, please report r4ynor. Cheaters are killing the probably last fast paced fps game, and not getting him banned will certainly make cheating become widely spread on this region because he's a known player and that would set the example both for new and experienced players.

About Raynor, i try to associate my consciousness as little as possible to the issue as a whole (cheats) so im not a good source to give an opinion about the demos/videos.

I dont see any conclusive proof in the aerowalk demos that he cheated (or didn't cheat). Most people in this thread evidently have no clue how to play the map 1v1.

Where the hell do you expect him to look at? He doesnt even move the mouse half the time when according to you it looks fishy, he just strafes behind a wall to shoot a peek-a-boo rail at the OBVIOUS location of his opponent like anyone with half a brain would do. Railing or lg-ing the wall when you either track your opponent or anticipate that hes gonna come around a corner (which is really obvious on aerowalk..) is not something uncommon either.

Take a demo of any somewhat-decent duel player who has a tendency to spam a lot with lg/rail and its going to look pretty much the same.

Not saying that the guy didn't use a wh, but from that demo you really can't tell.

My opinion is based mostly on point IV of that post, which is knowing the exact location of his opponent and following him through the walls for 10 consecutive minutes, and not point II which are only some examples (including shooting the walls without knowing his position) out of many many more.

Finally, I'm only 1 out of 18 regular ESR users that think he cheated. You have 17 left to deal with, including very notorious players.
I understand that aerowalk is not the best map to use in cheating accusations, but that continuous following through the walls for 10 consecutive minutes is probably the same reason why not a single ESR user agrees with you (anon) and why he was banned from qlranks.

Please show us a clean match in which a 1676 elo player (r4ynor) completely dominates a 2134 elo player like flesh1, who is ranked top 15 in the world (former 8) in qlranks, in which he keeps perfect track of the opponent for 10 consecutive minutes not even giving his back to the adversary once (just like in the demo), shooting and following through the walls at least 50 times (again like in the demo), not getting caught once, not missing prediction shots by any margin, always shooting at the exact moment in which the opponent appears and so on.

As I said, please re watch the youtube videos and demos and tell me those are not conclusive proof of cheating. It's 18 against 0 for a reason you know.
