Hi,
I'm having a stupid fucking issue with the sensitivity that's been bugging me for a few months. warmup sensitivity vs in game one is different and it's driving me nuts.
warmup = flawless, in game = shit ( as soon as the game begins, it's much slower, almost 1/2)

mouse&settings: deathadder, 1800 dpi, 500 hz, ql: sensitivity 1, accel 0.045.

tried everything...no luck so far

help! :(

I guess you have sensitvity 1 in your autoexec but you shouldn't use this : bind F3 "readyup; sensitivity 0.51"

accel is the only true hardcore way, coupled with ultra-high sens
no accel is for clumsy people who are uncabaple of controlling their movements precisely, and who shouldn't play quake in the first place

accel are for people who otherwise needs 0.01 in sensitivity because they can't hold their aim stable on their own.

not sure if that actually applies in QL. i have accel in my EC1, its there in CS and Q3, but not in QL :-e

I agree, its pressure dood, i can hit all sorts of shots in warmup cos it doesnt matter you're taking damage, in a real game theres alot more to think about

Only difference I can think of is if you use cg_Autoaction 1 or 3, so a demo begins recording when the game starts.

Some kind of HD activity from the recording affecting your mouse sensitivity? You could try autoaction 0 and see if that fixes it, at least you would know what it was. Not sure how you would fix that, faster HD maybe.

If it actually is how you say it is, this is an extremely bizarre problem.

Try running the default config and see if it still happens.

If that doesn't work, uninstall/delete ql directory/reinstall.

If that doesn't work, try a different browser.

Report back to see if one of those fixed it.

Yes, it's strange, I know. Yesterday, I've tried Pale Moon and it think it could be something related to the browser as on Pale it ran smoothly. Will test again on FF and IE and compare. Chrome, as far as I know, is temporary not supported.

nope. For example, I join a random CA server where the game hasn't started yet (players not ready)...as soon as we start playing ( players ready up, countdown begins etc) the sensitivity changes.

I had a similar problem where ql sometimes wouldnt force enemy models until i died during warmup or I let the match start.

I suspect ql doesnt execute the autoexec.cfg file properly everytime you join a server but do runs it again later which would cause something like this. Just a hunch tho...
