You didn't get my point. It's not about politics, but about the upcoming planet alignement of 2012. Major (this Japan one was like a warm-up version of what's to come) earthquakes will happen everywhere on the margins of the tectonic plates, San Francisco and LA being very much there..

Or at least that's what potentially could happen in 2012, take it with a grain of salt. kg you jew.

The point here is that there will be no planetary alignment. I haven't heard of any evidence suggesting that there will be a strange sort of planetary alignment in 2012. The scientific consensus is the exact opposite. If you read the link I provided above, NASA states that there will be no planetary alignment in 2012. You are perpetuating your own ignorance by refusing to question your beliefs.

It doesn't serve you well to say, "I don't believe in those KOOKY 2012 doomsday theories, I believe in the one that doesn't sound insane." When really your suggested doomsday theory has just as much evidence as any of the others, that is to say, ZERO evidence. You are in a good position though, seeing that you believe in your doomsday theory because you were misinformed, you can look at the evidence against it now and say, "okay I was wrong and I was misinformed."

ok maybe I believe a more "decent" theory. I mentioned earlier in this post that it should be taken with a pinch of salt.

But for the sake of argument, what if it proves to be true and NASA do know about it? Would they really confirm it and cause mass panic (since NASA is such a respectable establishment) or discredit all of it until the inevitable occurs?

It's my option to believe whatever, and like I said, let's check back around 2012 :)

Peace.

You don't have to trust NASA on this one, you can check for yourself on their website and on various other websites using tools that calculate the positions of the planets of the solar system at any given time. There will be absolutely no special planetary alignment in 2012.

Every single 2012 theory based on special things happening in the solar system/galaxy is complete bullshit because absolutely nothing special that we know of will happen during that year, and this can be checked very easily.

umm I don't think the 2012 shit has anything to do with planetary alignment. it's supposedly about galactic alignment, which is going to actually happen, but, the thing is, it's not especially rare, and it definitely doesn't confer any impending apocalypse.

2012 is not a special year regarding a galactic alignment either. Not to mention people don't usually know what they're talking about when they say "galactic alignment". If you mean our solar system crossing the galactic plane, that won't happen before a few million years.

Well, the US government has been working for decades to try and make their own people dumber and dumber every day so that the masses can be more easily controlable.

it doesn't mean there arent any exceptions, obviously, since they also need a few educated people to run their country.

Oh well, every knows that already.
