This Saturday, we are hosting our third Quake Live Duel tournament. Fnatic PLAY QL Duel Xmas Special powered by SteelSeries features great prizes for the top two finishers.

Our great experience with Quake Live cups, the high amount of players and great interest by the community were reasons to host yet another Duel cup for all players from Europe. Hardware prizes have been kindly provided by SteelSeries for the two players who face off in the finals and $100 for the first ranked player could help with Christmas looming.

Level Up TV will be providing coverage of the most interesting games from the last 16 on Saturday for your viewing pleasure. All future Fnatic PLAY Quake Live tournaments will be covered by Level Up TV and more can be expected from this co-operation in the following weeks.

I'm sure the day can be change, though people will probably be complaining that it's on the same day as tuns of other cups (like we had last time and rescheduled it to Saturday on request).

Personally im not a big t4 fan but im tired of clicking on map list and seeing the same 5 maps.

I'm not talking about new maps (hey, need to be realistic) but an occasional t4/t6/ca2/even dm17 game in tourney wouldn't hurt.

lol dm17 under the right circumstances could be awesome (but will most likely suck).
I hated t6, but an occasional ca2 wouldn't be bad.
Hell I wouldn't mind some kind of "random map rotation" for the 5th map. Like have a QuakeWheel with t2/t4/ca2/whatever and just spin it to see what the 5th map will be.

Yeh remove 1 of the 2 no rail maps with a rail heavy map. It's good to have no rail maps. It changes the gamestyle.
Besides that t4 is shit. Simple as that. More shit then dm6, which also needs to go.

T9 I have loved and hated, but I'm back at loving it. I've seen plenty of great games on it so far. For example the rapha vs DaHang on it in the finals was fantastic. It's a totally different map compared to the others which brings something interesting imo.

Ofcourse T4 is als completely different, but come on... I find the t4 games soooo boring. When I'm watching matches and they start playing t4 i'm gone after a few minutes. bleh.

t4 is the fail
there should be 2 non-rail map coz that makes a player not good at railing still some possiblity to play a map where there isnt rg.
Pretty often the rules about map picking are that each player gotta remove a map so...it there was only a non rail map then it would be always eliminated by someone playing a bad railer :D

sorry for the over 9000 times i said rail!

Couldn't t4 replace dm6 or ztn then, as they both have rail? T4 is less rail heavy in ql with the 80 dmg rail and it brings something to the table that no other map does: weapon control.
