Yeah, but they obviously wanted to make the perspective clear against 16:10 monitors. Which in turn, instead of being 8:5, they had to put into perspective against 16:9.

actually, that's exactly the logic I was going with in mentioning it.

Projection monitor using 4 separate DLP chips. It can't be "3-chip DLP" * 4... so guessing 4 whining color wheels + fans.
