Who cares if legalized weed 'weakens' the economy? You need a strong economy to power the military, in yesterday's world. Today, we have nukes. Defensive nukes can repel every large-scale invasion. Small-scale invasions cannot be effective. If cities are spread-out, you can easily use a scorched-earth policy by the border to inexpensively safeguard your nation. Which means, we can safely legalize weed.

Besides, legalizing weed could help the economy. Some people work better when they're stoned. For others, there is no difference. And if a business really cares, they can make their own no-weed employee policy.

If you outlaw something for national security reasons, you need to outlaw dense population centers. There is no bigger threat. We have to constantly live fending off the threat of nuclear devastation.

Now is the time to employ this strategy. Don't let people move back into those dead houses. Spread those fuckers out.

If weed is legalized, it doesn't mean you have to smoke it. If you want more money, don't smoke weed. It's not necessarily an exchange anyway. More weed does not automatically mean less money.

United States Americans are nuts. We no longer need an insane economy to fuel a psychotic military. Instead of taking fewer hours, workers take more money. They don't need the money in any way. They think it gives them more freedom, to work 190 hours a week. Occasionally, when they get 30 minutes of vacation time, they get to fly first-class.

We could learn a lot from South America. Siesta, people, siesta.

For places like Israel, which the United States or Russia could easily nuke every square inch of, or places like China and India, where there are too many people and not enough space, maybe instead of building skyscrapers, you could build lavascrapers. What I mean is, you could build underground. The structures would serve a dual-function as bunkers. Even though we have bunker-busters and could probably make nuclear versions, it might be the best you could do without mergers for the former and population reductions for the latter.
