i don't see what's wrong with the first and third clips of that video. the second one looks like he got shot back and happened to move his mouse down and to the left a little, while their movement was pretty much in sync.

kgb crushed on lan. i don't think he cheats online. with that said, compare his lan play from cpl to his online play. it's all the same stuff, except his lan demos look like he's autofiring too lol

and if i made it for the other clips too you could see how sticky his aim is.. his crosshair is unnaturally glued to the model while things are going down, really fast.. it looks just like what napalm3d was doing, and people seemed pretty settled on that matter.

viju i agree about kgb's rail on lan.. he has a sick railgun, but that doesn't mean he is somehow unquestionably legit online. he is doing things online that don't fit it in with his strengths on lan, and he is beating people 1v1 and in tdm who, as you know, are the best around in those modes. just watch that clip a few times in fast motion and compare it to the shownormals timescale one..

these aren't the only times he does stuff like this, and i'm just saying, if someone is doing stuff that doesn't compute for a lot of people, and a lot of people have accused him of doing stuff online, well, shouldn't it be in the best interests of everyone to go through the demos and look for evidence? i have found literally dozens of sketchy things in every game from the FD tourney, so much that I can't even keep track of it. This isn't my full time job btw, I throw these things together based on what I remember as looking really odd. I record it in timescale and post it, takes like 10 minutes. I'm really tempted to make a huge compilation and just go to town, fast motion vs slow motion, shownormals vs normal, and point out every little thing that makes me scream hack.

Remember Sombra? he was a really good player on lan, seemed legit, why would anyone think he was cheating? well he got busted for it. Everything about how kgb plays screams out wallhacks/helper bot to me, and I know I'm not the only one who is convinced of this by now.

I'm not on a witch hunt because I hate kgb or walter, I don't even know them and have barely played against them. don't you even know that when watching demos, especially gtv demos, mouse movements do get a little 'dodgy'..? and by that i mean certain moves look like they are "botlike lock-ons", moving the crosshair 2 centimeters unusually fast followed by a quick stop right on target.. i can't tell if it's because of plain old lag or perhaps bugged code, but sometimes something causes it..

q4 had a lot of this when spectating or watching a spectator-recorded demo of anyone shafting.. q3 have no where near as much, but gtv demos are the closest you get..

ask any experienced old school pro with brains and they'd tell you..

the saddest thing is, even with my being able to present demo and movie clip evidence of past and present (fd tourney) instances of highly questionable aim and decision making, there are people like you who seem hell bent on ignoring that evidence and discrediting it as some kind of crusade or envy-ridden witch hunt, even in the face of a few incontrovertible facts. 1) DFM is the home of Napalm3d, a proven and undeniable hacker who cheated throughout his q3 osp/cpma career and was lampooned for it relentlessly. 2) kgb, a DFM member, is not a proven dueler or tdm player yet was able to achieve online the beating of multiple top names in both disciplines. 3.) demo evidence displaying in the FD tourney, both from a wallhack movie submitted by kgb's partner no less, walter, and my own videos which show highly questionable instances of aim/decision making (with regard to shownormals data).

In the face of all that I say, who is the on the crusade here? Just imagine for a second that I have a shred of credibility and realize that my only motivation for all this is the strong desire to insure that this huge tourney (in terms of prizes and ego) was fairly played out.

1. the voting has been, afaik, highly questionable reading the admins responses in the original thread..

I can understand why so many of you are holding to your denial about this though...youve taken up for this kind of stuff for so long that you dont want the embarrassment of having been taken for a fool by some people you may call friends. so you dont admit seeing whats right in front of you.

Most people are just not convinced. It's mainly the lack of 'evidence' in between near-imperical and just mere 'looks fishy'. Unless there is going to be something you can point a finger at and say that the *only* reason for it is a cheat, people will remain unconvinced, as they should.

i'm going to assume no one cheats, by default. i will not change my mind about someone until the one making the claim that someone cheats can meet the burden of proof. the one's making the claim are responsible to prove it.

First of all, I respect what you're doing and I think it's 100% necessary. It's a good idea to compile evidence and conduct a peer review whenever there is suspect play. Those flaming are out of line, and seem to be underestimating the importance of keeping the integrity of the game. We've all learned that we can't rely on anti-cheat software, so as a community we need to police ourselves.

That said, I have yet to see irrefutable proof that either of these guys cheat. I'm not sure I'd even label this as strong evidence.

I wouldn't consider any of these clips to be 100% solid proof of KGB cheating, and that said, he and walter probably should not have been disqualified from the FD 2v2 tourney.

However, I don't know how people can watch KGB and walter and not be suspicious. Two things strike me as very odd when I watch them play. The first is the lack of prediction in their aim. In my mind the better players aim ahead of their opponents, using much less mouse movement and more timing than kgb/walter. Plausible style difference? Sure. Still weird? yeah.

The second is how dominating their hitscan aim is online. I'm not the greatest TDM player, but from what I saw, they dominated based on superior rail and lg aim, not any kind of strategy. In any match they played, they looked like they were on another level than their opponents in terms of skill. Compare this to kgb at qcon2008

Specifically move the video to the 15:15 second mark where the announcer says "point of fact his lightning gun is at 29% right now, so it seems he can't do it on lan". Fact is, look at all of the demos and KGB does okay. Most of the time he's at the bottom of the scoreboard. He does better on rail dominated maps, but at no point does he dominate, and at no point do you see the sticky lg aim that you do online.

Proof that he cheats? No. Even the smallest iota of vindication and proof he's legit? HELL NO. 30% lg isn't even that good online, on LAN that is WAY off the mark. IMO that's more than being nervous or not having your home setup. Especially when you consider that it was a $$$ tourney, and rage probably (hopefully?) practiced on LAN before showing up.

And don't be like "blah blah blah....ctf is different". Yeah it is, but the best TDM'ers, especially on defense which KGB was, always throw down massive frag differentials in ctf. Yeah, they might let some caps out, which is ultimately what matters, but ctf is no different than tdm in that the guys with better aim die less and kill more. zero4 illustrates this directly in the same demos.

i remember getting this guy with super crazy aim in the first round at lanwar 2k7. it was only the first round but like 8 minutes in we were tied at 5-5 and his LG aim was insane, and i was like who the hell is this guy? It was KGB..... Then I played CTF against him at qcon, and his aim was insane there as well.

KGB is a solid player. I won't anything about walter, but I know KGB is f'realz.
