No we lost to Macedonia in the qualifiers. It was right after qualifying for the Olympics. The team just looked like they were thinking of the Olympics and played terribad in the away game.

In handball you have to make very quick decisions and from what I've seen hanball players are more intelligent on average than soccer ones.

Yes it's a matter of taste, handball looks waaaay more boring to me than football or basketball. I mentioned the 'control' part because it looks incredibly difficult to make a steal in handball, making the attacks look a bit repetitive and therefore, boring.

I remember playing handball in high school and it was the most annoying shit ever. Everyone that had the ball would just run with it and it was impossible to steal it. In football you can't really do that without some nice dribbling, understand?

Aside from the fact that RSA played some amazing cricket both our teams are in shambles.

I'm glad there hasn't been alot of blame dumped on the shoulders of Ponting because he did all in his power to win these games but just so happened to be the lesser of three captains these series (Smith the test captain, Botha the limited overs)

My main culprit for this summer have been our selectors who have ignored the impending whole that Gilly, Warne, McGrath et al would leave. We have one of the biggest talent pools for cricketers in the world yet after Warne we don't have a single leg spinner or otherwise with more than 15 test to their name. It just screams of the arrogance that has exhibited Australian cricket thinking the best decade.

It's been a grueling summer for Australia but I have no doubts in our ability to bounce back. Unless there is some serious thought given to both teams I doubt we will have much of an impact when we fly over to RSA. I do however believe that our eventual Ashes tour will be a success.
