Yeah, I figured that out, but can I get there from outside of London in an hour? Is there (for example) an area where students live during the schoolyear so it could offer some open spots forthe holidays? Can you recommend any housing search engine for this? etc etc thx ^^

i pay £126/week to live in UoL (see below) accomodation which is then vacated by students like me in the coming month and made available to others, but i'm not sure how much they charge you. and unless you're a student i would strongly recommend against it. but then you're only here for c. 2 months so..

there's tons of places to live in this city, if we're to offer any specific locations/advice we need to know how much you're willing to spend per week.

yeah the lse ones would be good shizzle (i can vouch for high holbers and bankside, lillian knowles too but i think that's the one where people spend 170 per week uncatered).

anything within zone 6 is manageable (look on london underground map to see) and the east is cheapest..
i prefer south west london for convenience, niceness and good value....
youve got so much choice with london it shouldnt be hard to find something that suits you!

Regarding possible student accommodation, you could try getting in touch with the University of London.

And you can usually find cheap short-term housing on sites like Gumtree and craigslist.

Don't know about places to stay, but I've been to London once and the underground is a perfect way to get to work, just take the underground to Oxford Circus and do the rest by foot?
It is probably the fasted way to get there.

Insulting london. I was really really impressed with the transport system in Prague, I didn't have a problem getting anywhere once, even when I was heading far out of Prague, hell at one point I used my transport ticket to cross a river on a boat, that's fucking cool.

Yeah, it is pretty well done for the people which means it has to be uneconomical as hell for the city ;) I thought the smelly ppl part was about Prague, it cen get wild in the summer lol.

I was there in the middle of Winter, so I suppose I haven't experienced that.
