I don't believe that it possible-at least without some sort of hack.

Check in the setpoint software what is assinged to the buttons at default, though I'm sure it's just unassinged and you'll get teh X00 thing in quake if you try to bind them.

With SetPoint all buttons work well.
I assign thumb buttons as U and I.
Without SetPoint "mouse3" and "mouse5" don't work =(

i got a mx518... it does work with the setpoint drivers installed... the mouse runs smoother with the setpoint drivers installed (matter of personal taste)

nah you can change dpi without the drivers

Yea, without the drivers you can switch between 400, 800, and 1600.

i like it alot...and it works on my clothpad unlike the G5 =/

1600dpi ingame sens 3.335 fov 105... | setpoint settings --> sens 1... disable Acceleration.. keep mouse speed..use setpoint-implementatie..

try these settings ftw... overall its a very sexy mouse and it deserves an other chance =)

otherwise i recomment intelli explorer 3.0 or the 1337 ms1.1(ms1.1very cheap mouse...you can buy 4 for the price of one)

I had ms3.0 for 2 years. I didn't like buttons and scroll, but mouse was nice for low sens control.
It died in a club when I dropped it on a floor :( The bottom was broken.

Then was ms1.1, neither bad nor pretty comfort.
Misty has broke buttons of her 1.1 after some weeks of using it :)

In november my mate decided to buy Diamondback, and I took his 518. It just rox!

Now I've bought new X718 and now I want to compare it with all mouses I had :)

she must be very special if she breaks those buttons in a couple of weeks =)

i still got my old skippy ms1.1 in the drawer.. it simply refuses to die...

just a question, do the setpoint drivers work with the 510 seeing as it is almost the same

hm...
mx510 has Agilent ADNS-3060 chip,
518 has ADNS-3080.
So they're different a bit.

I will try 510 (my clanmate has it) with SetPoint.

I didn't have a 510 to test, but the MX300 and MX500 are only recognised with mouseware.
