He used an original ball intellimouse at WCG tournament.

are u sure he used an ms intelli 3.0 at the quals? how do u know? i really doubt he used it throughout the whole actual tournament. im sure its not like he jus decided to use it for that tournament + i think theres pics on cached.net or somethin of him using the original ball intelli at the quals, not the the tourney in korea.

Makaveli used ms explorer 3.0 afaik.

I'm using an Intellimouse explorer 3 on a black icemat and it works fine. People I've spoken with says that they don't have any trouble using it on a regular one either so...

I SWITCH SETUP DEPENDING ON MAP, FOR EXAMPEL ON THE MAPS THAT FATALITY IS GOOD AT I PLAY WITH PRINTERPAD AND BOOMSLANG, AND THE MAPS THAT LEXER OWNS I PLAY WITH CLOTH PAD AND LOGITECH MOUSEMAN DUEL OPTICAL!!.

Why dont gamers use the MS Intelli Mouse Optical? It's the same technology with a symmetrical design. I use it because of my age/size. The boomslang was just terrible for me. Guess it depends on user just as much as design.

exactly. i prefer the intelli optical because the explorer has those tiny thumb buttons.

No one of them use func 1030 surface mosue pad. It's a really good pad and I can recommende it. At least some players in NiP (C-S) do.

I never knew that! I've had 4 of the first explorer's cos they all went wrong bah! Got new ones though for free :). On taking back the forth 1 they didn't have the old ms mouse :< So I had to have a new one Ms 3.0 instead \o/ I bet I've had my Allsop mat longer too :p

Where can I order the ingo.se pad? I didn't find a link on their homepage.

And where can I get the allsop pads in Europe?

Tell me one thing: why are all the masters using different mouse pads than most semi-pro-wannabe gamers (like me :P

I will get a intellimouse 3.0 or a logitech mx 300.

Right now i like my normal microsoft mouse and some mousemat that my dad got "free" from his office! =p

that microsoft intellimouse is really good :) But its ballmouse so you gotta use high sens :]

i'm using a func now and the mouse glides much more effortless than with the cloth pads

I was thinking about this, too.

Maybe the fact that all the pros seem to use cheap cloth or Allsop pad means that pads with a bit of grip are better than slidey pads. More control over your aim?

whee.. i tried an cloth pad right now and must say it's really great (well, actually it's rather small, but the feeling is great). Dont know why i ever switched (btw.: anyone wanna buy a nearly 2 years old ratpadz is good state? =).

Only disadvantage seems to be that it's just 13x13cm tall, so i'll get a bigger one as soon as possible =).

And.. would be nice if someone could tell me what exactly printer pad is, never heard of it..

However, fatal1ty is releasing a "FATpad" which I think is basically the same as a printer pad, i.e. a giant cloth pad. And he says he's doing his best to get it out all over the world.

Is the MS blue cordless? I read that it wasn't cordless and had 2500 scans per second, not as good as Explorer with 6000.

However, that MS Bluetooth mouse apparently takes 9,000 scans per second and is cordless.....are there any reviews of it? I have big hands you see!

DPI I'm not bothered about, anything over 400 is overkill unless you have a really high sens.

there's a cordless and a none-cordless version of ms blue (at least at amazon.de =), but i guess you'll be able to buy both versions all over the world).

The entire c58 squad have bought a cherry keyboards,FUNC serface pads and mx500 mice(couple of them chose mx300 tho),so thats their weapons now

So you are wondering why arent any of the top players using some sort of a new age mousepad?

Well the answer's quite simple: they are fucking BOGUS and exist only to lure away all the money from little kids who think they'll get better after purchasing one.

I've experienced this whole thing thoroughly myself buying every possible pad available and whilst gaining more and more experice in gaming i have gradually started to realize that a mousepad has, against the common belief, very little to do with your performance in the game.

There is, however some true in these pads too.
The low friction. It helps _weak/average_ players to have a somewhat better touch to the game. In quake3 for example its easier to shaft, and in CS it goes for every weapon.

My point here is that if you got the skill, you'll hit the target, no matter what (does not apply to cs, lol).

Ive got an Allsop pad and ive been using it over a year now.
One thing i appreciate in it is the comfort which it gives to my hand, its soft and warm like every other cloth pad. Also, my hand moves alot better on it than for example on the Icemat.
Really, the only thing you need to have to be succesful is comfort.

what i have realized is that...
the slick funcs and icemats are VERY slick, and somewhat hard to control your mouse on them.
when i go from a func to a cloth, my aim goes up considerably.
now this is pretty weird..but i use my func pre-game to kind of warm myself up, and then i get on my clothpad (its an old grey thing that says Mouse-Mat, and then play a match/scrim on the cloth.
i have better aim than i would have with a func.
