Check6

Check6 is cleary the top favourite for the QuakeCon title. This powerhouse has taken in the CB EuroCup and Artic Esports Challenge Winners. The estonian (slovenian) team u96 Das Boot has dominated the ET scene in an astonishing way over the past months. Their incredible aggressive teamplay and tactics denies opponents to get some grip on the games. x6 are like pittbulls, they bite and they wont let go. The teams has been idle over the summer so many dont know how strong they are, but still they are clear favourites for the title.

Los Batos Locos

Sadly many qualified teams could not make the way to Dallas. Mostly money and visas were the major problems on getting some teams there. However it is great that teams like Los Batos Locos stepped up to the plate to show what they are made of. They are clear underdogs, but we all know that underdogs can knock down favourites. However these guys are probably major underdogs.

Idle.ee

The second European team is another estonian powerhouse. With a main lineup that participated together in the CB Nationscup and coming out victorious in that cup, they are a force to reckon with. They only recently set their minds on QuakeCon, so it will be very interesting to see how this team develops. My bet is that the longer they can stay in the tournament the stronger they will get.

team Kinetic

As most people agree, the european scene is stronger than the american teams. Especially there is a claimed gap between the US and EU top teams. But this might be one of those teams that can make it very hard for the top favourites. They proved to be a stable team for a longer period of time. When the heat is one, this can be a strong asset when playing on LANs. Time will tell...

Team Ballz

Very little is known about this team. They did not participate in the QuakeCon qualifiers but will be attending Qcon. They havent been very active, but by the looks of their page, they must be some fun and crazy bunch that are definitely ready to have fun and contribute in making Qcon a great event.

No Remorse

This team is clearly one of the top contenders for Qcon ET. Although many qualify them as below the top teams, they have proven themselves in the qualifiers to be able to take the momentum to themselves and crush the enemy with well thought out tactics. They miss the individual skill compared to other teams, but since ET is a team based game, it is just not about that. Do not leave these guys unattained since they might give us a great show.

United 5.et

With their recent appearance on Radio iTG's "ET phone in" they did shake up some dust. Along with their recent roster changes they might appear not to be so strong as alot of people think they are. They are still clear favourites for a top 3 spot, but this team seems to be far from stable. However they have shown the ET scene they can give great games with the individual skill some of their players have and with the help of the finnish captain saintt (Parodia) they might even add a tactical advantage to their team to suprise teams like Check6. If there is one guy who knows how to beat Check6 it is Saintt, so this might be the secret weapon of u5.et

#virus

The former succesfull cod players wanted to get to QuakeCon no matter what. Unfortunately their qualifying game versus stazi wasnt that very successfull. Playing with Soldier Thompson isnt the smartest thing to use in ET and therefore that became a one sided match. Due to the adsence of Clan Stazi they are able to go anyways, but surely wont be competing for the top. Just here to chill and have fun. The true QuakeCon spirit: Meet up and have fun!

Modus Operandi

This team has a story behind it which could fill a whole book. They received great attention after the release of their movie and the help of iTG's TosspoT.
It is a team of players who show great personality and stability and this is exactly what makes Modus Operandi so strong. Known for their great teamplay and with no expectations themselves they have a good chance of really fighting for the top.

Warped Sanity

In TWL's Alpha league they did not have a great season ending last. However some games were even tight games which could have gone either way. Compared to the other US top teams they might be the biggest underdogs, but they can give some serious damage to some teams. They might not have the strength to compete against teams like Check6, but they have the homecourt advantage and that may count for something.

Brand0n's Five

After the many dropouts from the Qualifiers, this is one of the other teams who are going to Dallas without even qualifying. No record of any of their results or reputation of any of their players. However after their first game versus Modus Operandi, they seem to have some teamplay going, but it is far from being sublime.

Dark Side

The last American team is a real powerhouse which can be a real threat to Check6, Idle.ee and united 5. They have won TWL alpha league in the previous season and are called the nr. 1 US team at this time. However in the US scene u5, kinetic and the other top US teams are pretty close, so the "derby's" between these US teams will be very interesting to see. Dark Side is definitely one of those teams that will come far. The first real encounter will be against Modus Operandi, which will be an awesome game for sure.
