Hello, and thank you for taking the time for this interview. Introduce yourself to our readers, please.
Hi. My name is Yuriy Romanov, in Quake3 OSP community I’m known as jilc4ke, in QL as foppa. I change my nicknames quite often, it’s kinda for fun, but generally, people call me frosa. There was Dosya in b100.death, but I am is Frosya :).

Let's start with questions about Adroits LAN, that just ended a few days ago. Tell us, how you decided to go there?
I got my ESL Nations Cup prizes, and I met Russia impulse7spg aka M19*Sapego aka c4-lordden to give his prizes as well, and he said there will be TDM LAN in Holland. He suggested to go there with old-school squad (Inside aka ex M19/c4 and Snorlax aka ex at/rage). To be honest, in that period of time I was long time inactive and I didnt want to play Quake, but Inside was my favorite TDM player and I just couldn't say no to them.

How you got squad like this? Was there any qualification matches to determine best squad for your team, or you got just the players you had around you?
We didn’t have any qualification matches. We just gathered with impulse7 guys and they invited me to play as 4th. Actually, I never played with impulse7 clan before in VQ3 TDM.

What was your goal for this LAN? To get any good position or just to have fun?
Our goal was to at least pass the group, and potentially get 4th place.

Why you didn’t even advance into the playoff then?
Obviously, one week of practice was just not enough. Our team has huge teamplay experience, but we had rusty aim. I think, if we might practice for one month with this squad, we definitely could do much better. Personally, I'm just happy with our game; we got really strong opponents in the group, and knew we couldn't lose against the Germans, although Germany did quite well in the end.

What did you do after your games? Did you support any other CIS players?
I can't tell about the other guys, but I was supporting only Poland av3k, because he simply is my favorite player. I was also cheering for the Russian team 102. I enjoy how Russia Latrommi from Russia 102 plays, too bad he didn’t manage to control his emotions and didn’t show everything he could on this lan.

What can you say about final standings of the tournament, anyone surprised you in TDM scene?
I was surprised with Dutch players and Russia 102, because they lost to quite weak teams in the semifinals. I think Russia 102 was nervous too much because of this and didn’t manage to play their game. About Dutch, they lacked team spirit; draven and prodx played extremely concentrated, but you can't say the same about Netherlands gda and Netherlands silencep, who had in mind just to leave the LAN faster.

Share your opinion about the tournament organization. Have any feedbacks?
I have nothing negative to say about this LAN. It was super great party, we just were messed up a bit because of players had to bring their own 120Hz monitors. Generally, it was very friendly and fantastic atmosphere at the tournament.

What about your future plans? Want to visit upcoming DreamHack?
I would like to visit DreamHack Winter, but only as spectator or reporter, because I stopped to play 1v1 quite long time ago in 2008 year, I believe. Rumors says we will have TDM Tournament at DreamHack Summer 2013, if it’s true, I will go there for sure, but probably without impulse7 guys as they are too busy with cinema business. Now, I will start practice hard with Ukrainian TDM team Skillz, and play CTF from time to time.

That means you are back into Quake? Will you play ClanBase?
Yes, I have enough free time now, and want to play TDM regularly. I play with Ukraine Skillz team in OC.

Thank you one more time for the interview. It’s up to you to finish this.
Clearly Ronald McDonald did more harm than Mr. Brownstone.
