Maybe you have seen clips from Ghostrider, some Swedish nut job who records video's of riding a custom Hayabusa at top speed on public highways, and sells them on-line.
This Russian is about 3 times more crazy/retarded.
What do you think, would he make a good quake player with reflexes like that?

Shane "rapha" Hendrixson joined Level Up TV yesterday to co-shoutcast the finals of the ZOTAC Cup with James "2GD" Harding. At the end 2GD did a little impromptu interview with rapha.
Trance of Level Up TV has generously provided VODs of both the interview and several of the matches in the later stages of the tournament.

The story originated on gamepron.com reports that top Korean players are being named and shamed for throwing matches to make money on illegal betting. It’s apparently been a problem that the e-sports organisers have been trying to stamp out for a while, and it has now reached an impass, with players being outed, or forced to retire. It’s the biggest drama the game has seen in some time, and could shake things up for the leagues as they move ahead to the Starcraft II launch, with sponsorship being put at risk, and so forth.

SK Gaming announced today they have picked up Bogdan "bodzo" Mazur to their new QuakeLive roster, where he will join forces with Shane "rapha" Hendrixson.
bodzo who is still a relative newcomer to the global quake scene, has build his reputation winning several large online tournaments over the last couple of months.

Id Software has released some pictures of the first new map which will be added to quakelive in the near future, in what they call their "6 new maps in 6 weeks" campaign. The other five maps will be a mixture of brandnew and classic remake maps.
The map is called Hidden Fortress, and was originally a part of the sega dreamcast version of quake 3. According to the blurb the conversion is a medium sized map with three main rooms - perfect for 6-10 player team deathmatch, clan arena and free for all gameplay.

The quake 3 sega dreamcast mappack for pc, played with the old patch 1.16n, allowed to connect dreamcast and pc players to played against each other. the pack contained 2 new ffa maps, "Hidden Fortress" dc_07 and dc_15 "Gaze of the Abyss". Hidden was the better one, i can remember.
q3 remake standalone versions of both maps are released along time ago.

SK gaming has released a ranking of QuakeLive players based on the ELO system, commonly used in games such as Chess and Go. Currently only duel is supported , but they promise other game types will be supported in the future as well.
As with any ranking it's sure to cause some controversy, which can already be witnessed by browsing trough the comments on the SK site. It should be noted that results have been tracked only from April 1'st onwards and currently DNF/Quits are not counted as losses.
