The captain application stage is over since January the 1st, and now stage 2 of the ClanBase NationsCup XII is running: the players vote.

Looking at Quake 3, the most followed NationsCup will probably be the good old ClanBase NationsCup Q3 OSP CTF.


With ClanBase's new NationsCup system, the process of nations to get their teamcaptains has been split up into 3 stages: captain applications stage, players vote stage and final stage (captain announcement, team building).

We are in stage 2 now, meaning that anyone logged in to ClanBase can vote for the favourite captain of his nation. For some nations that's an easy thing because only 1 captain applied, but for other nations a lot of captains applied - so head over to the ClanBase NationsCup Q3 OSP CTF cupsite to vote for your favourite teamcaptain.


Go ahead to the ClanBase NationsCup Q3 OSP CTF to vote for your preferred teamcaptain. Voting is possible until January the 8th.

The time has come for another season of the ClanBase NationsCup, this time being the 12th episode.

A list of 27 Cups on 18 games are offered, including Quake 3, w§w, UT, ET, UT2k4, CS, CS:S, CoD2 and CoD4 among others.

After the recent announcement of the ClanBase Spring Season 2006, ClanBase has now announced the 13th incarnation of their prestigious EuroCups.

This thirteenth season of EuroCups will again feature LAN-Finals for some of the games. This time, there will be no Transatlantic Showdown and ClanBase will carry out the LAN-Finals on their own at a yet unknown location in Europe.

The prizemoney ClanBase can offer this time is $50.000 in total for both the games with LAN-Finals and those with Online-Finals.


How to Sign-Up:
In connection with this announcement, the signup period for OpenCups and EuroCups has been increased until Sunday, 16th of April. All Clans and Players that want to participate in the EuroCups or OpenCups can sign-up here. Please keep in mind, that the EuroCups are "invite-only" tournaments and there is no way to directly sign up for a EuroCup.

After the recent release of the new X-Battle Q4 Modification in Version 0.10 and the introduction of numerous new server-settings aside this release, the need of unified server-configuration-files became obvious.

ClanBase matches in CTF, TDM and 1v1 gametypes may only be played with the use of these serverconfigs as basis. The settings have been discussed internally and in conjunction with the Jolt Q4 Crew. All settings were kept to standard "vanilla" Q4, except for the "Shotgun-Fastswitch Bug" which has been disabled in these config-files (just like in Q4MAX). Serveradmins should ofcourse adjust the servername and the maximum number of clients to their needs.

Note: All serveradmins must use these config-files as reference to make ClanBase matches possible on their Q4 gameservers.
