Nah, he's been careful to distinguish between id software and saber. Licking id's nasty asshole and bashing saber like they are the ones at fault.

Actually what id made with saber is pure genius: saber was developing a game for microsoft, when microsoft went no contact on them, completely screwing them over; at this point id software smelled a weak prey, they offered them to make the game from scrap for pennies.

Thois accomplished two things: they spent less moneys, and for everything that goes wrong, they can just blame the saber team scapegoat.

On second thought no I think if they went back to same speed, same hitbox and only difference beeing abilities it'd be bad. It's too late for that now, focus on balancing out champions instead.

Except for his active, anarki is the only real quake character in QC. His passive is 'quake'. All the other's movement/attributes are either from the previous "let's-nerf-quake" iteration called Q3/QL, or just plain inject-some-OW bullshit. Ppl really should try harder to get a handle on why there is a "3" Q3. Quake 3 Arena was the same for quake in 1999, as QC is for QL in 2017, that's where quake started going downhill from a very pure sport-like game.

It must feel as such an insult , its like expecting professional football players accept frequent stops of the game, and the ball just not hitting the goal even tho it went straight in. ... and the ball not having air in it, also the size of it keeps changing.

Yes they are "only" quake players, but you should not support someone because of which sport they do, but the time and effort they put into aquiring skills that truly are hard to obtain. And these pro`s are what is needed for such a business to thrive and should not be taken lightly.

Yes .. beta, but, there isnt even a game there until it runs smoothly, doesnt crash and good netcode is in.

They just need to make the game to be fun to play, which it isn't. It's bloated, slow and lacks fundamental features to make it an interesting competive game for the masses. Believe me, nobody even cares about the pro's if the game is cumbersome to begin with.

They shouldve had to reassessed their priorities when it wasn't too late. The people who were initially interested are long gone and there needs to be a miracle to get these people back from let's say a CSGO, Dota, OW, which are all streamlined games and offer instant hop-in-and-play without getting shat on features.

Let's just say Saber starts to unfuck the game and make great updates, how will the game get marketed from that point on?

IMO it's over. The ones that are still playing are doing it for the money or have extreme cases of false hope, or literally masochistic. QL has more players by now and is a superior game compared to QC.

you are right i used to love to watch pro games, now the same pros are pussies in my eyes..

the game is not fun, and it feels very bad and random.
and the engine is the worst.
and the enviroments are ugly as hell, every wall looks like those cheap "playground castles" for kids.. where they have a caste made out of a fat wall but in reality its just cheap plastic full of air..
