I would consider all of them to be aim monsters themselves. Afaik, Latrommi is originally a lowsens CA player, Pavel should be able to use his sick aim from duel and 421 usually hits 40+ percent MG in TDM.

True, but I think a lot of their 'aim' comes from mastery of numerous micro situations on a map to map basis, to counter the pings they have to put up with.

i'm really missing zoot+ins casting because when ins says something completely stupid, zoot calls him on it and the humor makes up for ins casting.

I must admit CA along with FFA is more entertaining to watch than duel/TDM. These two modes (CA/FFA) are great appetizers before the main Duel/TDM event.

in any case, you seem like a nice guy, im sorry for being an ass. just play what you feel like. but give duel or at least tdm a try, both these game modes offer more depth than ca. you will enjoy once you figure that. and the better you get at duel, the more you will like watching duel-streams, because you will start to see all the small details that divide pros from casuals.

no worrys m8, i ve been playing quake for to long. I ve even tryed some comp ctf div3, good stuff, unfortunatly that break my wish to play pub ctf (frustration -lack of teamplay ofcpub), now i am a happy occasional ca frager. :)

... i guess what i am trying to say is... dont assume if i like ca i am a new player. Trying to time mega, 2 yellows, a powerup and defend the base without rail with rockets only, almoast blew my mind at a point, but i guess that is just something that you learn and accept. (and yes definitly this overwhelming effect gives a greater rush, then only playing ca, especially when you help your team win).

i agree on the depth of the game and enjoying the fine details of the game mechanics. But for the new general public i think CA will be more interesting to watch, cuz they don't know the finer things of quake and action packed lasergun of strenex will be like godly to them, if you know what i mean. :)

Some of the maps were interesting. Campgrounds was just boring as fuck though. Every single rounds it's clusterfuck on the bridge.

Actually most of the maps seem to be clusterfuck in the only dominant position on the map. Maybe it's just bad maps that make it terrible competitively to watch?

But i claim to belong to the best caplayers in europe. Whatever that means... The official matches i played givin me reasons to think so. Atleast in my eyes. To the butthurt thing: Yeah indeed i quite pissed. There r teams who used to play ca on a quite serious level. They r good. Their idividuell skill and teamplay is easily on the same level as of a top tdm/duel player, ofc only in those aspects which r important for ca.

Im talking about the guys of faces of meth, krS, uvm, plus.ql f1st3d and idS and some swedes who could form a deadly team. And many more teams who r realy decent like XCM.

All the faceit 4v4 cups and the HouseofQuake-League r a proof that just playing some CA isnt enuff for top tdm/duel-players to take down that teams easily, as so fucking often claimed.

And now their is a way for CA-players to play the game they love, getting streamed + getting some attention for what they love and all u read r things like:
1st: week duel > ca...
which isnt even fucking true. The first week ids nearly managed to take the qualifier with a b-lineup, imagine h41, ashy and rzd played... totally different story.
Colwn on the other hand played really well yesterday, and i didnt expect them to win vs aCt. But u cant say that they r a proof for the dominance of duel-players in CA, atleast what i saw while i saw them play and while i played against them, h41 played a really important part in the victory. A CA-player.

One more thing. U guys r right, from an spectator view CA seems simple minded and "annoying". But play CA on the highest level and u will see that its quite hard to master. Otherwise faces wouldnt win all the time. Even if they havnt played for 3 month, they would still take a qualifier and might win the whole thing.

It's been two weeks out of four in the qualifier, thus so far choosing two teams for the finals. Right now the ca finals don't have ca teams because they haven't qualified rofl.

Luckily players are men enough and won't camp all the rounds when they have an advantage. Could be a lot worse with big money on the line tho.

its funny how some of their top-ca teams play. and the best one currently mostly just camps with rail, and if you try to rush them, they hit 100%lg on you. its DREADFUL :p

the playstyle i described, its used by a certain team. all of them camp with rail mostly.

I think I would really like a gamemode which starts like 3v3 ca (maybe with less ammo), and after one min or so items start to appear. Would be nice to watch at least.

Some things I think might improve watching CA:

- Have two team overlays that display health bars of the individual players. How this is still not possible in any mode I do not know.

- Have a hud element that displays the damage dealt by the player in the current round. Also have a popup displaying which player did the most damage at the end of a round.

- Some kind of "momentum" meter/display that takes into account how convincingly rounds are being won, based on remaining health among the team.

- Additional announcer voicing for Double and Triple kills within a round. Extend this to personal kill streaks as well over the course of a game, examples.. 5 kills without dying is "Dominating".. 10 kills is "Godlike" and so on and so forth.

Of course a lot of this applies to other modes as well, but unfortunately I doubt there is anything like this in the pipeline.
