i hope that that some "new" maps will be added to the standard map-list,cause adding new premium-only-maps will just increase the number of the maps in the list,nothing more.

(also make PQL premium,making it for pro-only is just a failure,making it premium with a spawned server will make it a little more popular).

windsong keep should be the model for all future maps in quake live it makes it look like a current game but keeps the integrity of quake gameplay. Its the closest thing you can do from just putting a setting in an urban map or an outdoor map for modern FPS players.

I would like to see an effort at maps being made with out RG/LG. Give non hitscan players some sort of chance. Don't we want to see more play styles on the scene?

If LG/RG is integral to your game play you need to stick to CA. LG/RG were both believe it or not once a upon a time afterthought weapons when people were still playing HPB. I can understand how they are a huge crutch for newer gamers though but you have 500 options to choose from for maps with both weapons already.

idea was saying it is just your opinion (and getting plusses in the process).

My opinion is that all weapons are what make quake what it is. It isn't "rocket arena" (pun intended).
I do agree that some maps are way too much rail heavy and that I'd like experimenting removing it, for example t7.

I can understand both view points the only problem, I have is one play style is completely unrepresented in the current map system. CTF1 is about the only viable map the rest without LG/RG were pretty poorly done Small FFA type maps (Arena Gate) for example. I fully understand some people hate CTF1, but it fits certain type of quake players like a glove. I can play tier 4 caliber on CTF1 and probably nothing else in CTF.

I agree with Bodker here. The maps that don't use LG/RG are a ton more interesting in CTF/FFA. I understand that for duel these weapons are part of the fundamental skillset and can't really be removed, but in most gamemodes they just get excessively whored. dm6 was a much more interesting FFA map before the LG was put in for general play, and not just the prodm6 version.
