Well you would not know before you tried, and thankfully TDM is still running a solid timeframe in their matches. So there would be a lot to watch even with fewer teams.

Zotac should stick with duels, as for gdata. some 2v2 would be nice.

tournaments like these should never be invite, nothing will kill off a scene quicker as invite only tournaments.

For bigger tournaments my preferences are in this order: A mix of TDM\CTF in BoX > TDM > CTF.

Don't think a regular 4v4 would really work in the G-data/Zotac format. For the longer period of time ideas they want to do sure, but it would be really hard to get people to play a some matches on a Saturday (I'd assume you'd need to do like bo3 for finals at the least so that's like errr... 6-7 matches at a guess?)

2v2 could be fun just because people that sign up for the 1v1 duel on Sunday could just randomly team up for shits n giggles and to be raped by noctis or toxjq

I really liked the sytem that was used in a UT league some years ago.
It was something like this for a match:

2 maps 1v1 (2 different players, 2x1 points)
1 map 2v2 (1 point)
2 maps 4v4 (2 points)

First to reach 3 points wins the game.

Since you are considering tournaments over two month it could work in a league with 8 teams and 1 match per week per team.

Problem in QL is that nearly all the european top players are only 2 or 3 different clans and most of the games would be blowouts.
Another problem is that a match takes really long, but with only one per week it could be spread over more than 1 day if necessary.

3rd: amateur 1v1 with prices like 1st 50€, 2nd 30€, 3rd 20€

4v4 doesnt make sense because of the inactivity of all the teams when playing over a longer period of time, at least thats my oppinion. just look at the delays of every 4on4 tournament (tdm as well as ctf) lately with finals being played 2-4 weeks after schedule.

Voted for 2v2, would be cool to spec 2v2 games. Also would be amazing to see the Davis Cup system being used, but I don't think that can be weekly thing.

Did gamesports think about some sort of seasonal system? Getting points per win and things like this :D. Resetting every 6 months.

I would love to see longer lasting tournaments than just 1-day ones, but I don't see why more of your options aren't for "public" matches. I would think having tournaments open to only "invites" would actually do more harm than good, considering that wouldn't be willing to let anyone who wants to play, play.

And for god's sake, can we see something other than duel? Even if one weekend tourney stays duel, can't the other be some kind of team tournament and stay that way? Yay Cooller and all that, but can't the rest of us who aren't duellers have something to look forward to? I know there's not a lot of gametypes to choose from here, but the only options above that don't have duel involved are 2v2 public, invite & groups + playoffs.

Are there reasons that the max players on a team (with your poll options) is 3? If there are good reasons behind this I'd love to hear it- I'm not just trolling or bs'ing.

public 2v2 first week, ctf 4v4 second week, tdm 4v4 third week, maybe duel 4th week, check participation and change accordingly. none of these gamemodes can support a weekly cup just by themselves though. also this would keep interest high since there isnt a weekly repetition of the same stuff every week.

if 16 teams check-in, make first rounds bo1, and rest bo3


make team registering easy with just the clan leader (or whoever) being able to fill in the memberlist instead of every member needing to register himself and join the team, way less hassle and easier registering can only mean the possibily of more teams registering.
