And they will have much more money by the end. They have almost one million in 48 hours and this going for 30 more days.

The Double Fine kickstarter reached around 3.5 million dollars over the time.

I like this kind of thing. I pledged 15$ for Wasteland 2, because Fallout 1 is still one of my favourite games of all time.

Where is John Carmack announcing Q5 as a Pc only game? I would pay more then 15$ for sure ;)

and personally i think there might be a lot of games in the post-apocalyptic scenario these days, but often just used as a replaceable gimmick to dunk the whole mostly generic gameplay in.

only a few (fallout series, i also kinda like the fallen earth stuff) brought it to a level of immersion like it is already done with the likes of medieval games (gothic series, elder scrolls and tons of others).

The game has great potential but first they need to fix their servers imo.

saints is i guess still the dominant pvp clan. ye, i remember the server issues (if you mean lag by that). there is some input lag and the lag from europe to california. didn't you move to the u.s. a while ago?

Lag can be disastrous sometimes, I came back from the US, I might go there again in june though.

I get rid of lag by not going to crowded newbie areas (embry, south burb, etc).

Ah so I presume you were a much higher level if you know about dominant clans, I just started few weeks ago but I barely ever play it. Is it even worth spending time with it?

i played when it was p2p for about 2-3 month (which is pretty long for me playing a single game) and yes, maxlvl with mainly pvp action with some mates, which was great fun but gameplay-wise it was pretty standard.

it's hard for me to recommend fallen earth to anyone, since it has a lot of flaws basicly everywhere. if you have fun travelling there, the community, the old/complex mmo style and the general "lost" feeling with the atmosphere etc.. i would say enjoy your visit

but if you expect gameplay mechanics like in the "popular" mmos with big endgamecontent, endless motivation and a pure brag and fight attitude, then it probably is a waste of time. especially considering that it's f2p now and the maturity might be gone

f2p made this game horrible, trust me.

Sharing the same views, I feel embarrassed recommending it to anyone, because then I'd have to explain why everything is so half-assed.

I kinda like the idea, the "atmosphere", but that's probably because I'm a sucker for anything post-apocalyptic themed and a lot of stuff is very similar to fallout 3/NV. Otherwise the game itself is just... weird at times.

I'll just hope for another MMORPG that isn't fantasy/asian themed.

As for wasteland 2, I wonder who the people donating 10.000 and 5.000 dollars are o.O

ye, this genre haunts me since my childhood.

i dunno who pledges this amount of money, but since at 10k there is a party it can't be a hoax or payed by kickstarter itself. overall the pledge-milestones are pretty good.

thinking about they even got mark morgan on the boat makes me really excited, aswell as round-based with top down view. i might go for the 30$ with download and soundtrack. remarkable, considering i rarely pre-order anything. :p

I don't know about QL, but Q5 could definitely get some support if properly "advertised" on kickstarter

Half the people who would actually donate towards QL probably ceased trusting the dev team a long time ago anyway.
