Cool idea for a USB disabling program, but why don't you just bind one of the keyboard buttons for whatever you mouse is lacking... ?

I tend to use my keyboard solely for the movement and my mouse for attack/zoom, been playing like this for 10 years or so and i don't think changing it now would do me any good :p

Why don't u just plug and unplug them?

Hey that actually works :o and after enabling it again it still remembered that the port was overclocked to 500hz :) awesome.
Question though, does disabling this also completely annihilates any reading of the port? If it's still scanning the port with 2ms all the time it would be a waste of CPU power and bad for the USB's lifespan...

IIrc it will completely disable the driver, so if the OC occurs on the driver level, it won't happen anymore, but won't disable the hardware IRQs and other stuffz below the HAL layer.
Sorry but i don't really remember the exact details how the disabling goes, I used to know stuff like this very well, but it was a long time ago, and would need to reread things if you need more detailed info:(

Some mice are quite universal: MX518, G300, G400, etc (some examples)

they both have low and high dpi settings, and side buttons

They may never be perfect for a particular game but they are good for everything: RTS, Quake, other FPS


The advantage of using one mouse only, is that it may not be the best for that particular game, but you also train always the same muscular memory.

If u like the mx300/G1 u can wait for bst mouse. From the pics it looks like the same shape. +sidebuttons version.

Guys , not to hijack the thread or something , but i have no idea how to make another thread , nor do i want to bother people THAT much. I'm just going to bother a smaller part , here.

I'm looking for a guud mouse. I play 1.6 , i play it competitively .
For 5 years i used an old logitech mx310 , it did the job. When the left click died i bought a steelseries xai without much reasearch before. That was 5 months ago. The left click died in 4 months.
Now , i dont give a fuck why/how . It happened and because it happened , i dont want anything to do with Steeleseries again. For that price , i don't conceive the slightest reason or possibility for that to happen , being that i learned it happened to quite a few friends that play 1.6 . I've heard the big teams use it , and change one in every 5 months because of different problems. After all they can afford it , having the sponsor sending infinite numbers of mouses.
I can't afford that.
Now , moving on to the subject.
I play low sens , i used 800 dpi in the steelseries software , 6th level in windows cursor speed , and 1 in-game . No mousefix , as i only play 1.6 , and take care of the accel with launch options. I use a hibrid grip i think , i have no idea how to call it , i guess it's a claw grip modification.(http://h8.abload.de/img/xaigrip3w4qh.jpg)
I have a rather small hand it seems as i didnt quite enjoyed the way i grabbed the Xai , too big , i had to click it somewhere in the middle of the mouse button as i couldn't reach the very end of the click , with the way i grip it.
Final toughts , i dont give a fuck about appearance , design , software , side buttons , programming , etc etc.
All i want is the best sensor . All i think of , is the moment of 1v1 , thats the mentality i have when approaching mouses. Shape and sensor is ALL, and i mean ALL i care about (don't we all ?) as i will only use this mouse for 1.6
Sorry for the wall of text guys , but i'm desperate as ive looked all over the net for some opinions , but nobody knows shit about what they're talking , some people review the mouse playing MINECRAFT and talk about the edge the mouse gives them lmao. I've read some posts here , and it deffinitely looks as if people have an idea of what they're talking.
