1. He expressly refused to give the demos of that run, and of his records too. Also refused to re-run anything, including that. Both mean there's something fishy there.

3. We are talking about a caught cheater here (timescale +left yawspeed scripts bots cocaine etc).

5. The issue has been talked about many times here, always with the said conclusion.

What people don't seem to realise it when his records were wiped, there actually was zero proof of him cheating, there's a demo of him using +left, yes, but that's before using +left was forbidden. The demo was even before serverdemos existed. There's also no proof that mccormic-mark was cheated either, the reason given was because of a simple double jump at the end (lel).

1. The fact of the matter is he was asked a million times about his runs at the time, including by admins when there were cheating suspicions, and the demos never appeared. More importantly, if he wants to clean his reputation up he could come here today and post a link with the file with the demos, just like he could when asked. You don't "offer" demos: you just upload them to megaupload and post a link.
About the castle run, for a movie to use that footage it is required to use a demo or demos, so the demo file did exist. At the time he was asked for it and he always refused to provide it and still hasn't done so to this day. Weird. Same goes for other runs used in movies: we know the demos did exist, he refused to provide any of them back then.

Well the conclusion is that all his record times were erased because the admins concluded he cheated, that he didn't provide a single bit of footage when asked, that he didn't upload the demos (so much for "offering" them) and that then he just vanished. Did you know sombra really believes he didn't cheat (even though it's thoroughly proven)? Same could be happening to w3sp, or to you too.

And again, it's obvious the castle run wasn't done in a single segment. And again, a banned cheater is not someone to blindly trust.

1. There was one admin that removed his times, and that was <hk>. The guy has little to no knowledge of how cpm works, he removed Bazz' times for a simple doublejump too, claiming it was mousewheel.
Nobody needs to give out demos, it's the same for him.

Can't you just bind jump twice or thrice and get get a really clean 8ms window triple tap?

You can get a lucky timing randomly but I don't think a 1 frame jump is possible for a human.

I can consistently get just frame piano inputs in fighting games or at least get 2 out of 3 inputs on consecutive frames it's just about finger distance and doing it in one smooth motion, but fighting games have twice the frame length with ~17ms per frame.

if i had created a run for the history books i wouldnt give out the demo either be ause i dont want any wannabe editors to use it. as for the demos i, the wannabe editor, edited around on several demos of f33l runs so they are out there at least cityrocket And stargate ive had them. w3sp is legit in my books

Any info on how much time pgblack took? That run is absolutely disgustingly technical and it's so overshadowed by the castle run and people's lack of experience in df cpm that I just feel sort of guilty that I can appreciate it.

No idea how long but I completely agree :p I've watched that run many times and it just looks perfect. That forward only gb thing he does at 11 is crazy, took me a while to understand what that was. And the transition between the two walls at 6 seconds is $$$.

probably your videocard is too old to flashplayer's specifications with 60fps-online stream, but it doesn't mean that videocard cannot play similar video from harddisc.
Mine videoc isn't latest generations too, it glitches when i watch stream higher resolution then 1080, but it's no problem to watch 4K-60fps from harddisc.
And, a few days ago flashplayer renewed to 16.xx version, try to update it.

Most browsers can't handle 60fps youtube vids properly atm, I just use a portable version of Google Chrome for this specific purpose (I prefer Opera and Firefox for general use)

Am I the only one with audio issues in youtube version? I'm not sure where but at some point the audio went off sync and it's getting a bit irritating at around 20:00 forwards, still watching it though.

I put this on thinking "I'll watch 10-20 mins and finish it off some other time." I was so wrong.

It took only a couple of minutes for me to become completely entranced. The amazing technical mastery of these runs, the creativity of the map makers is stunning. Yet, then it became something greater... I was suddenly devoid of my sense of "self", and watched these runs from a cosmic perspective. The defrag runners are warriors, trapped in a multitude of unreal worlds - slabs floating in black space, enormous pillars rising over a canyon, toxic tunnels... they complete run after run, trying to escape, plummeting to their deaths each time, yet with supreme confidence that they will be reborn right where they began, with only one purpose - to complete the run. They do it again, and again, oblivious to the futility of their task - they will never escape their worlds. They revel in the absurdity of their existence, they are the modern Sisyphus, pushing the boulder to the top of the hill, to watch it roll down again, then pushing even harder...

This journey has no beginning or end. There is no intro, or credits. This isn't a self-contained work - this is only a part of something greater. The defrag warriors have always ran, and will continue to do so, beyond space and time. This movie is only a glimpse at the infinite, the purity and extent of which is unimaginable. When the screen turned black in the end, I was awoken. But the intensity of this trance will not leave me for a while longer.

Map at 9:13 is absolutely fantastic. One of the most (if not the most) interesting I've seen so far in defrag movies. It uses everything. I'm curious how long author was working on it?
