Especially look at the one at the very end - by the lg shards. If you could pick up that much speed with a snakeslide, you would have a clear advantage over anyone who can't or doesn't do the same.

I'm not positive, but I think you can actually reach haste speed by crouchsliding properly.

This demo would have rocked about 5 months ago.

You do know people have known about crouchsliding for, well. since quake4 was released?, and most players do know how to crouchslide..

recommend you to watch a demo of ztrider if you want to see some good crouchsliding.

I'll give you guys one more crouchsliding trick.

The trick is, you can use crouchsliding to move around quickly and silently. Use height + directional momentum = distance. So the higher you jump from, and the faster you're going, the farther the slide will go. You can increase the slide distance even further by using the corner turning motion.

I do long-distance slides a few times in the demo here. Although in this demo I didn't get any good sneak attacks out of them.

also, if you take a mouthful of milk and laugh really hard, you can make it come out of your nose.

If you want to practice crouchsliding techniques, I suggest using the map Evalia. It's like the map was designed solely for crouchsliding.

It's amazing how many people on this website hate me. I hope you guys don't sacrifice your integrity too much. This demo has plenty of educational value, which is why I posted it. Don't let your hatred blind you and make you do stupid things.

I don't think anyone here really hates and if they do then I'm sure they have mental issues.

The point is Jonesy, you post demos about a feature which is now a basic part of q4 and has been for about 4 months.

You give no explantation as to how the strafe jumping works (on here-I did not even see the demo) so what use that is too someone who's has no clue how to strafe jump?
None apart from seeing it in action, of which I'm sure they've seen people crouchsliding online and read a 1000 posts on ESR about it.

This is a pretty hardcore site, yet you give no explanation that you're appealing to absolute beginners, yet come across with the "show you guys" as if you're showing something new and talking to the majority.

If you explained what your target audience was then the people making sarcastic comments would look like sarcastic dicks, instead of simply saying what most of the people reading the thread think. "no shit".
