Hard mousepad and dust (44 comments)
Posted by Barktooth @ 15:14 CDT, 29 April 2016 - iMsg
I have an aluminum mousepad and this shit pisses me off. I clean it every 10 minutes but it still gathers dust while I'm playing, and the glide becomes terrible and I can feel the dust scraping underneath my mouse. Anyone else have this problem and what do you do?

I've used cloth pads before but they just wear out way too quickly and don't have the same glide. Especially for LG good glide is needed.

Hey guys, I registered here because I really need some help.. Currently I have a Mionix Propus 380 which is a hard plastic mat, and my mouse is Kinzu V2 Pro. It tracks perfectly but even though I've only had this mat for a month it already wore out in the middle and has drag. It still glides well on the sides though. Anyway, while I like the feel of hard mats, do all of them last such a short time? Reading threads on here people say the opposite, and that only mouse skates wear off - which seems just as annoying.

The only cloth mat I've had experience with was the tiny Razer Kabuto, and after about a week of use (maybe I washed it or something) the weaving got all messed up and it created a retarded amount of drag. But for some reason using that now my aim still ends up better than on the worn Mionix, even though it feels like shit.

So while I love the glide of a hard mat I don't think I'll mind a cloth mat either. I thought I'd get a cloth mat, saw how popular QcK was, and almost bought it.. But then I read on here that it also wears off in a month or so. Didn't see people complaining about Goliathus wearing off but I'm scared that it won't track well with my Kinzu since it's multicolored. Then there's the Puretrak Stealth/Talent, which seems nice but there's not many reviews on it and IDK how long it lasts before creating drag. So what are you guys using and how is the drag over time? Should I reconsider hard mats?
(P.S. I know I'm being a little bitch about the drag and all, maybe it is just a placebo effect but I when it feels nice to aim, I aim well.. So I want to find that perfect mouse pad :D)
