Heh, spiders are arachnid (along with scorpions) and not insects though. Cockroaches (the various spicies) are probably the most disgusting creatures I know of. I shiver just thinking of them. I'm kinda scared of spiders but I don't shiver thinking of spiders. Spiders kill off all the creepy crawlies in their path and they're total ninjaa.

Is it a camel spider? I read that the camel spider got its name from its habit of eating which is jumping onto the camels stomach from below and then working its way trough in or something like that. Anyway spiders are damn hideous...

hm... actually, there's quite a few rumors going round about those camel "spiders".
I wouldn't be surprised if people started saying they wear costumes and does the can-can every rainy monday or something.

I don't think there's much truth to the rumor about camel spiders feeding from inside the camel, since the, errr.... "acid-like fluids" in it's belly would probably melt the bugger down in a second.

Tarantulas can be quite beautiful though, and cute.

brazilian black:

pink zebra beauty aka eupalaestrus CAMPERstratus (camper loal)

These two are 6" when adult. The biggest tarantulas are the goliaths (one which will eat small birds) and have been reported to reach 13" i'd paste a pic but they're some ugly mofos :)

Ah that's one of the 3 diff spicies. I think that's the bird eater. It's not the largest one though. The largest one is golden brownish and has more mass / buff it looks like a tank spider or something hehe.

talking about spiders... do you know that akward feeling, when you walk around on the street or something and suddenly you walk through a spiderweb? than you wave your arms trying to free yourself from that spiderweb. you make moves with your hands around the head to get rid of potential spiders and the web. than people start looking at you, because they can't see the thin spiderweb. they see you turning around, waving with your hand about your head and they think you are crazy, while you are fighting with those damn spiderwebs.

It's said that in your lifetime you actually EAT a few spiders. Mostly during your sleep...a spider does some 'abseiling' from the ceiling, looking for a warm, moist area (prolly will trigger a few nasty remarks with this but ok :p). Guess where it will go when you're drooling on your pillow :] After making contact with face/lips/inside of mouth you instinctively start chewing.
