Event: FACEIT

With QuakeCon 2013 coming closer and closer, FACEIT will warm you up with some Clan Arena 3 versus 3 action!

Over the coming weeks we will be hosting four CA 3v3 cups in which the invited teams can qualify for a $300 Finale. Thursday 11 July will be the first edition, starting at 18:00 UTC. In each cup we will be inviting four teams from different Quake backgrounds to fight for a place in the final.

Commentary will be provided live on

well that's something else:] I think it would be cool if faceit would talk to 125fps admins and make sure not to collide with that league's schedule as much as possible. I know it's impossible to avoid any clashes but that's in the both party's and viewers' best interest:] and some players' as well last but not least!

It seems that admins don't know at all about CA....why do you invite only good players/teams from other ql mods ? At least invite a CA team or a mix with good CA players...this sounds ridiculous imo. Only 1 or 2 of these guys know CA....

CA cups are more and more rare and now when there is a new cup, it's invite only and it seems that you don't need to play CA to be invite.

Agree with Guismo - if it's a CA cup then CA players should be invited, at least mixed with others. Especially that in this case matches won't be proper CA ones. Naturally those TDMers or so can aim, know maps, etc, are very good players but NO, this that they are amazing in TDM doesn't mean they are the best ones in CA and that they know CA as well as people who actually play it. There are many players who are better, sometimes A LOT, and who could show CA as it is. But well, good luck, should support any Quake action.

I watched a bit and honestly while I support the cause and think this was a great idea, the games themselves just weren't.... attractive?

This has nothing to do with players or maps, but the way this gametype is played.

I still think CA is great pub fun but watching it is just kinda snoozish. Yeah there's constant action, yeah there's some nice LG pulls but overall it's round based meet @ common place and shaft each other to death, very stale.

Just my two cents, no hate <3

I actually enjoyed the games. :(

It was way better and more exciting than when Dis streamed Domination. Not as good as duel, CTF or TDM, but more than watchable.

Yea, I kinda enjoyed it too.. at least l0wfly games on dm6 were pretty nice.
I think it is really a lot related to the maps, trinity also offered some good to watch games but asylum for instance was terrible with only 0,5% of the map actaully beeing used and people spamming like mad.
