Parents think tetris is a cool game.

For a game to be true contendor it can't be played by such demographics and it should preferably be in modern gaming tourneys. All the games I list are.

Imagine your parents could do a bridge to rail jump or a final atomic buster. It just would not be the same.

there are tetris tournaments. just because youve not heard of them doesnt make them not count.

ive not heard of any sf4 tournies so does that make it any more favourable? (ok in terms of beat em ups ive heard of evo, but only because of the daigo evo 37 vid)

Tetris tourneys are pretty obscure.

There are tons of SF tourneys and have been for 20 years.
Plus SF has always had a big arcade scene, where reps are built.

This year there has been....

Devastation
EVO
Something last week
SBO this weekend.
Next month is super vs battle.
And god knows how many other in the USA and ASIA where the game is much bigger. (Far more so than quake)

The genre is a lot more competitive than tetris and SF is widely regarded as the holy grail of beat em up's just as quake is for duel.

Don't try turning a random CPU based game people played on the toilet as a rival to the millions of people who spent their youth training for in arcades across the world.
