Exactly 3 minutes long as I don't have time to do a longer vid at the moment (Sorry for the filesize as well). I also don't have time to do multiple 2 pass encodes unfortunately.

oh it wasn't easy fishing out these demos :P had to search for stuff like "air rox" "air rocket" "nice rail" "nice frag" etc through the comments in recent demos and the entire archive :P in fact some of the older demos weren't available on esr anymore so i hopped over to cyberfight to grab them :)

Ashr, you must think more about the warming of the earth and the fact that compressing the movie use more CPU ressource to unrar it and produce a lot of lost energy for nothing !

Nice movie, short movies are bestest IMHO. Cause it keeps the wow factor during full runtime.

I would just have used a brighter enemymodel, really hard to spot models at 3 or 4 frags in the streamed version.

obviously you put work into it but the frags for the most part are pretty bland (not really your fault). i didnt feel the music fit well with it, something with alittle more energy would have been better and that would have been good for credits or something. so basically to wrap this up. great work, bad content

The frags might not have been 'OMGHAXXIETSBAN' frags but they where good and most where of way greater consequence then most frags used in 99% of the fragmovies.

yeah high lvl players are harder to spawnkill because they are so smart that they spawn further away!!!!! and its superhard to airrox them because they know the secret air control in vq3 which is super hard and only high lvl players can do it O_o

um i had actually put it away but making this little video kinda makes me want to finish that soon. in fact, i still have all the demos plus the progress i made so if i can squeeze time in the weekends, i'll finish it. it should have been done LONG ago :/

it was ok
was the first shaolin productions movie that ive actually liked the music. frags are iffy (some ok, some mediocre) but you didnt spend long looking so its expected. as everyone else has said its a shame it wasnt longer

Nah, the music made the pace too slow to make it longer, if the music had been more energetic it could have been though.

The frags weren't amazing (the non-old ones) and the olds ones are, well, old.

yes. i wanted to make a vid with a "chill out" kinda feel to it. this track is actually 8 minutes long which i cut down to 3 minutes. wouldn't have worked with the original length.

I thought the musis set a great "been there, seen that" gtv-like feel, smething like bringing back memories, etc. Which was nice for a change.

But, the reason I prefer harder music is hat it makes me actually want to play myself.

nah i'm happy with the way colour corrected q3 looks with a little bit of motion blur. i think it looks loads better than default q3. anyway, that's subjective.

about fresh content, i got lots of crazy RA3 frags for a vid i was working on. maybe i should just finish it.

yes i agree i went overboard with the CC and blur in mercurial. i had learned to do that stuff only around that time and i guess i got carried away... which is why i toned it down by A LOT in this vid.

thanks but after so long, when i go back to watch it i spot stuff which i'm not too happy about anymore :) i'm always thinking "ok maybe i could have done better here"...

that being said, mercurial was definitely the most fun project i worked on... i really spent a lot of time looking at nice cpm action while making and there were so many moments where i creamed my pants because of the game and the demos :)

you must be referring to hub3aeroq3 and ztn3tourney1. about getting the game to look good, it was with colour correction and some subtle effects in the editing / fx programs i used.
