Anybody else have this bug with these demos (I take that this was a 120fps server) on demo playback, the fps only go up to 60 and the demo seems "speeded up"

Even weirder, then I tried to watch a demo of my own (from a 90fps server) and the counter was at 120?

It was played at 90 fps but playback seems to be 60 yes :/

it seems like the bug happens when you watch a first demo.. the next demo you watch should be normal fps without the glitches.. i haven't tried it yet but try watchign a demo, stopping it, then watching another one.. are you sure your demo was 90fps snstead of 120? if so then yeah that is pretty weird.

Earlier today I watched the you vs. chance demo (which was at a 120 server but the playback was at 60) stopped it, then went to watch one of my own, which was from a 90fps one and the counter was still at 120.

With the fox vs. winz demos, they were just "capped" at 60, like he said.

My addled end-of-term brains :D

p.S this seems to be a 1.41/max 0.78a thing I guess?

Seen that this night - you don't need to start another demo, just reuse the current one and that'll do the trick.

(still doesn't explain why it's acting up in the first place)

hmm, sometimes it doesn't work for me but its rare.. let it get out of warmup before you esc>disconnect it.. then play it back, should work.. if not try once more

Aye, I have same problem and solution, as you said, is to start a demo, stop it and rerun it again.

EDIT: nice demos, Torment looks like a really fun map to play (no railgun \o/), also really nice movement, well as always <3 Winz couldn't do much on phrantic, simply flawless control.

I reinstalled q4 because of this demo. Hope it's worth it
Apart from watching the buggy stream several days ago I haven't seen 1.41 in action yet.

1.4.1 obsoletes the infamous winz cfg

The tournament using the new flavour of Phrantic, but the obsolete tmp01 made me smile :)) (and bitch a little while I grabbed the pak from another install)

what's different about the 'new' phrantic?

you cant fall in the "hole" near 50h
