Do you follow the SC scene? What really matters is on what league you bet on, for ex. most of the players don't care about GomTV. Not that it's possible to be consistent in SC, tho...

what makes you say they don't care about GOM? kind of an odd statement, if they didn't care they probably wouldn't play.

Well ofc they *care*, but not as much as about other tournaments, and quite often you see progamers throw away GomTV for PL\OSL\MSL. By that, I mean that they rather practice for ex., for MSL and just ignore whatever is coming on GomTV. At leas that's how I got it, a lot of people on TL.net think so, too.

well the TL.net crowd is often very ignorant :p kind of like ESR, they all think they know best yet they're D+ at best themselves, they're just loud.

Don't care about GOM? I think you're pretty far off there. GOM has the most prizemoney of any SC tournament right now (and by a fair bit). There's no way they simply don't care about it.

I replied to sucky sucky 5 dolla just above, on pretty much the same topic. IMO, its about pride. Even tho it could be that newbies, expecting this and wanting the prize money train harder for GomTV.

Well I know that MSL/OSL is more prestigious, but GOM is still a pretty big deal - with that kind of cash it can't not be, just probably played down by MBC/OGN because of KeSPA. I mean the last few winners & finalists of GOM have all been absolutely top players (Flash/Jaedong/Bisu).

Perhaps three individual leagues is too much, and the fact that T1 (because of KeSPA) and MBC/Sparkyz don't participate doesn't help : /

I totally agree with you here, I just said that if I had to bet on a SC match, i would prefer OSL\MSL\PL to GomTV.

PS. How did KESPA not allow T1 to go to Gom? \o/

Politics :/ From what I remember, one of the managers (or at least some higher-up) in T1 is connected with KeSPA, and KeSPA don't 'sanction' GOM.

I thought this season was sanctioned... :(
