SELLING MONITORS! (CRT pro 454 / 2233rz) (7 comments)
Posted by waVVes @ 13:51 CDT, 14 June 2011 - iMsg
*EDIT* CRT is more or less sold, willing to listen to offers on the 2233rz! :)
*EDIT 2* Dropped the price of 2233rz to £118 ! Wont be dropping it anymore but will shove it on ebay if I don't get any interest :)

Selling off my two monitors to free up some cash :)
2233rz was bought in january some time i think. No box but comes with all the other bits :) looking for £118 for it. No dead pixels and is in great condition.
Also got a 19" crt- (iiyama pro 454)- can have around 200hz at low resolutions (can't remember which as I don't have the monitor to hand!) which I'm happy to let go for £20. Bought it second hand but it works a treat. Also removed the pin thing so it works fine in windows 7 or whatever the problem with the pin thing was. Remember the shipping for this thing will be a LOT as it weighs a tonne.

Can pick it up from my parent's in a week or so when i get back (am in the London area) or will be happy to ship it as well.

I know this isn't gumtree but would rather sell it on here through paypal or whatever. Message me if you haven't (or more preferably HAVE) got any questions. If worst comes to worst i'll stick it on ebay.

Ta!

Ethernet powerline adapter thingys etc. (7 comments)
Posted by waVVes @ 15:56 CST, 25 January 2011 - iMsg
I'm living in a student house and using wifi atm and it's shit. Been looking at those powerline adapters since I saw them mentioned on here a week or so back. Are they worth investing in for gaming? Anything in particular I should look out for if I'm getting one (brands, features w/e).
Also is there any way to priotise all ethernet traffic over wireless traffic? My housemates are shit with pc's so they wont have a clue what I've done, and gaming is pointless atm as they'll be downloading bad french soaps or something. Tried QoS thing but it didn't SEEM to work but I guess I'm just a bit shit at things.
Cheers!

Anyone that has super meat boy (pc) (26 comments)
Posted by waVVes @ 09:55 CST, 5 December 2010 - iMsg
I bought super meat boy off of direct2drive rather than steam as it was a few quid cheaper. I had to sell my graphics card (5770) primarily for food but seeing as the game was only £7 I went for it. ANYHOO I can't get the bastard to run- whenever i load it up it says 'check cable' (or something along those lines) on my 2233rz; this happened before if a game is at a res or refresh that my monitor cant support (although im running it through a hdmi now with my onboard gpu, so no 120hz anyhoo).
SO
how can I run the game? The config utility doesn't work (the shortcut links to an .exe that doesn't exist) and putting -w in the target line thing doesn't work!
any ideas!? ta :)
