They are not only talking about the group stage B and the really great chances for the australian eSport scene, but also their upcoming plans.

fragster: I'm here with dandaking from Australia. Daniel, yesterday you said something like "I need a minute – heart beating" in your ingame-chat – why, what was going on?

Daniel 'dandaking' de Sousa: Because I was up, i think, 7:1 at the start on t7 versus Spart1e and then he starts a comingback and it was 7:6 and I was like getting really nervous, because I was fright that he's gonna get the kill. And then I got a kill after that and I won 8:6 and I was going really crazy, because I can't believe it – I was in shock, I guess.

Sebastian "Spart1e" Siira just attend on IEM World Championship Finals. He had a really good start at group stage, but lost at semifinals to the American Quake player Shane "rapha" Hendrixson. In an interview with fragster, which has been made before the second semifinal he's talking about his preparation and other stuff.

Would you agree that it's a great job by yourself go straight ahead to the semifinals? You were able to participate in so many tournaments – often it works, sometimes you're going down really fast. Was it a highlight for you?

Spart1e: It depends, really. I'm not really happy with the fourth place, but if I manage to win the third place-game tomorrow and place third, then I will be happy about my performance. I played really bad actually in the semifinal against rapha today and if it's the same tomorrow I will be really disappointed about myself.

After the preview video for DreamHack Winter 2010 the well known movie editor Djordje "zeroql" Simonovic released another movie. In cooperation with fragster he took a look at some new trickjumps, which are able due the ramp jump option. Reaching Higher Grounds is the name of his latest movie with jumps performed by players like Richard "noctis" Gansterer or Kevin "issue" Mischker.

The EPS-Player Philipp "reload" Kotecki participated as one of the underdogs in the last chance qualifier for the European Mainround of the 5th Intel Extreme Masters season. During that tournament he had to play against a few of the top players, like another EPS-Player Sebastian "abso" Wanek or Alessandro "stermy" Avallone. stermy was his opponent in the semi-final and reload managed to put up a decent fight against the italian powerhouse. He also had to face the Dignitas player Dan "zsx" Sanders.

The EuroCup match between xentorium and 4Kings was the first one in the current season. I guess most of the vieweres were seeing 4Kings as the favorite and that they will smash their opponents. But especially Mikael "PURRI" Tarvainen proved them wrong and pulled out an amazing performance for his team. Whilst he made 39 frags on Deep Inside he managed to get a few more, 46, on Dreadful Place and was the key player, who keept the scores between both teams pretty close. Magnus 'fox' Olsson had low expectations when he arrived in Cologne for the IEM European Championship Finals and thought to be knocked out in the groupstage. But he managed to finish second in his group and is going to play against his teammate Cooller in the playoffs. fragster sat down with the Swede who explained why he did not put much time into his preparations.

You reached the playoffs, but before the event you said that you might get raped and lose to noctis. In both cases you were wrong. Are you getting better from game to game here in Cologne?

fox: I don't think so. noctis played below his level and that's one of the reasons why I was able to beat him, but I'm definitely satisfied. I was not excepting it, I was like 70 percent sure that I get knocked out in the groupstage.

An American trio of Quake players will participate at the Quake Live tournament at the DreamHack Winter event. One of them is Brian "dkt" Flander, who managed to show a good offline performance at the QuakeCon 2009. Fragster.de spoke with him about the IEM American Finals, the upcoming DreamHack and the American Quake scene.

Who will be the toughest opponent in Jönköping?
dkt: Probably Cypher. He is a great player. He has very solid aim and positioning and his mental game is underrated. There are many European players who are very good. I think Cooller will be better at this tournament than he was in Dubai and I think fox/DaHanG will also be very good

Spart1e, who managed to beat you twice at QuakeCon, is also attending at DreamHack. Can you take him down this time in his home country just like he did to you?
dkt: Hopefully, he is a very good player, but I feel I'm better than I was at QuakeCon. I don't know how much he has practiced or anything, but it would be fun to play against him again.

The winner of ESWC Masters of Athen, QuakeCon 2009 and the IEM4 Cologne Global Challenge, Shane "rapha" Hendrixson has been interviewed by Fragster.de right after his victory at GamesCom. He speaks about the final, where he managed to defeat his opponent Richard "noctis" Gansterer, his play style and more.

Fragster: If I'm right the fifth map would have been dm6. A map which you lost to spart1e at QuakeCon. Do you think that you would have been able to take it against noctis?
rapha: [...] noctis is a very good dm6-player, very unique style. Nobody else plays it like him and I think it would have been a very tight game. It would have come down to who handles their nerves the best, I think.

Viaceslavas 'fire_bot' Duk played a perfect qualification tournament for the Major Series where he beat players like Peter 'cYmoZz' Sellmaier. He also managed to beat Milos 'Zubb' Zubal in his first group match, but still fire_bot left the competition very surprisingly. fragster spoke with him about the reasons and his future in the Quake-scene.

The EMS might be the last big Quake 3 tournament. Isn't it frustrating to leave such a high quality competition in that way?

fire_bot: How many times people will tell - every time when any game is published - that Quake 3 is going to die? Many, many times! It's the same here: There will be less or more tournaments... So don't panic. But I'm not frustrated because of leaving the competition but because of not playing Cooller. It was my dream to play against him since 2002. Can you imagine how I feel after my decision now? That's right, I feel pretty bad.

Therese "trito" Andersson, one of the most known female gamers in Sweden and the quake scene, has been interviewed by the german eSport site Fragster.de. She spoke about the Quake games, her team "girlz 0f destruction" and a bit about her relationship with Magnus "fox" Olsson.

You've been in a relationship with fox for over three years now. Did that affect you somehow in playing Quake? Are you playing some games versus him from time to time?
trito: I had been playing Quake for several years when I met fox, so our relationship didn't really affect my gaming. Sometimes we play clan arena with each other, but we never play against each other because it often results in one of us being in a bad mood, not optional for a relationship. (smiles)

So fox doesn't like losing versus you?
trito: Haha. I wish he had lost against me, only in my dreams. But he gets in a bad mood if I play too good and get too many frags. And I get angry if he wins too easy.

Tonight, at 19:00 CET slain3 ( DkH ) will face ferdi ( 360 ) in Round 3 of the upperbracket.

Because of the upcoming Crossfire LAN i was working on a new Version of the ET Pack. I removed the Tools for a better handling and to make the pack a bit smaller.
And i updatedt the Mappool of course. I removed Warbell and added the two new EC / OC Maps, karsiah_te2 and bremen_b1.
I replaced frost_comp_b3 with the new B4 version and i made a new readme File including Mapdescriptions for the 6 standard maps.
