If the pcs run windows 10 for real, then it sure had give him problems and to all other players with mmo (tox). Tox hit tons better on the days before the tournament and underperformed heavily aim wise + the previous quakecon he aimed better tho overall was weaker in the practice before the QC. :)

well some top players that attend lans on a regular basis like to use the most likely setup they will have at events. even if they didn't have win 10 on the computers at qcon, it's not given that the players will be allowed to alter usb polling rate.

Because nowdays there are tons of lans? Also wmo is not that good at all @ 125Hz. ;)

all i know that some players really did use 125hz usb polling rate at home for the reason i wrote. i don't know if this is what happened at qcon.

and judging from how many old pros still use 4:3 resolutions, it's not far fetched some of them stick to old setups.

I talk with Tox today and I ask him about this stuff: he says that he played with 500hz mouse and that he didn't aim so well even if he thinks he played good in tdm and ctf.

however i heard CS people don't enjoy wmo as much as quakers.

i think they've move on from the mlt04 sensor due to lower sens. they've always consider the 3.0 and intelli 1.1 over the wmo from what i've noticed.

But CS:GO players are included too.

Well sure but the reason people use wmo is because of the sensor not the lack of side buttons....

You'd be surprised how many people are nuts over WMO shape and adore it for that aspect alone.

I think it has something to do with WMOs being widely spread and available in most offices and people got used to it.

I have both 1.1 and WMO and I like the shape of the WMO more. Mostly because the sides of the mouse don't turn outwards like the 1.1 does. It's still a good mouse though. Just wish it wasn't 125 Hz (I can't change polling rate on my computer).

There are plenty of mice with good sensors. Perhaps not as good as the MTL-04, but if it doesn't have too much smoothing and is free from acceleration despite what some people say it would be pretty hard to tell the difference.

What makes people stick to their wmos after so long is the feel of the combined weight, shape and sensor placement. The flat sides are really just amazing in my hands.

So it costs £500 to get a driver signed? What if we do a kickstarter to pay for the hidusbf driver to be digitally signed? Apart from contacting the original developers, what other complications would there be?

oh man. I had been playing with Zowie EC2-a for about a month and although it's lovely, it hasn't come close to WMO.

I started playing with it again yesterday and oooofffff. Greatest mouse ever.
