Thing with 2v2 ca is that its heavily aim based, 3v3 would have been better

ca is basically aim based, also i don't think many teams would signup if the cup would 3v3, especially in a one day cup that last many hours.

Yeah but 2v2 is reliant on good lg, where as 3v3, you got the ability to rail more effectively for example. ( if maps are changed)

Also quakecon 2013(?) did a 3v3 ca tournament, that was good.

However, if you could organise ( im willing to help ) a 3v3 tournament ( like a table [eg: football tables] ) that will be fantastic! - Cant rely on HoQ

3v3 is enough players such that you can't always know exactly where each enemy is at any one time, making it (imo) less tactical. In 2v2 it's very rare to properly catch an enemy unaware, hence more skill involved.

yeah because 2v2, there is no where to go, the enemy is always infront of you.

Take Thunderstruck for example.

I totally disagree. In 2v2 you and your partner have to work together to out maneuver the other team and gang up on one, and help each other when one is in trouble.

You have a lot of space to move, and you don't have to worry about accidentally making a quick escape into an enemy, because you know where both are. You can even make a surprise attack on both enemies and still escape alive - with three enemies this becomes too dangerous and your team has to move as a group, which can be quite slow if communication is poor.

In 3v3 you have to watch your back as well as your front, because you can't keep an eye on each enemy. Equally, you can't keep an eye on each teammate, and as a result I feel that the teamplay element is weaker.

If 2v2 thunderstruck is bad in your example, what about 3v3 thunderstruck? It's absolute bedlam.

What im saying is, 3v3 takes more skill then 2v2 does, its more tactical and if the maps are sized like campgrounds, its perfect, thunderstruck 2v2 is good however it's basicly all open and you cant really plan what to do, the enemy is always there.
