it was a bad decision, but i don't think it's possible seeing the engine is loaded and running in the background, while you browse servers.

It has almost instantaneous alt+enter window mode, that's what i use, so not that big of a problem imo, it is annoying though, but not enough to tickle my ocd bone.

Doesn't it take like half a second to go fullscreen if you have r_noFastRestart 0?

I see in your other thread that you just installed QLHM.

One of the scripts in QLHM is: Quake Live Alternative Menu

Open Options (next to HOOK), and enable:
Fullscreen / Windowed Mode
[x] Go fullscreen when joining a game (r_autoFullscreen=+1)
[x] Go window mode when leaving a game (r_autoFullscreen=+2)

It worked since January and still works... It may not after the incoming QL's web design change though.

extraQL is the replacement for qlhook with the new design, and all the previous functions works like they should. As did this for me.
