Now that I'm getting what I want it doesn't feel so good. Why is that?

Because we've been disappointed with so many other titles over the years (Doom 3, Quake 4, Pain Killer, UT3...). There' s a good chance it will end up like the rest and we all go back to playing whatever we play. You're just not going to sell 5 million copies the first week and thus the media won't care.

Like those other titles that have came and went I will still probably buy and play this game for a little while.

For some reason it's just hard to recreate how amazing and fun games like Quake and UT were back in the day. Newbies don't like getting owned... back when we started we didn't care about getting owned we still had fun.

Not gonna get excited, he let the UT movement be as it was for years, which felt like walking with a broken bottle up your ass.

Add in the horrible laggy mouse input on UE3 which still sucks to this day and always struggled with EPIC's game, despite their nice technology.

ut99 was good.. thats about it really

But not quake-good

tdm and duel are much better in quake. ctf i think is much more fun in ut. IMO

i liked ut99 against bots, nice variety of gamemodes and maps. always felt that the bot scripting was one of the best.
