i got mine wmo from chinese and it is perfectly fine and working after 6 months

the only problem with it is that i didnt know that the stock mouse feet of the wmo ARE SO FUCKING TERRIBLE and i am to lazy to search for a proper mousefeet as i dont play quake live anymore

I always played with the default wmo mouse skates and it was ok. What do you guys suggest to improve the experience?

If you think stock WMO skates are OK then you will probably start spraying cum when you try it with some teflon skates. :)

I have put hyperglides on it and difference in smoothness cannot really be described with words.

Well I don't know how the Chinese manage to get their hands on so many WMOs when it's getting rare out there. I assume they make it themselves, potentially with a lower quality.

You need to update to 500hz or else the mouse will hit 1.6 malfunction speed and you'll have lots of neg accel.

The wmo performs best on 500hz(more stable), the difference between 1000 and 500 is negligible (1ms)

It hits 1.55m/s @ 250-1000hz, 1m/s @ 125hz.

So a quick update:
The mouse has arrived via mail in a big envelope. But it's at my home town (Miskolc), and I'm still at the dorm in Budapest until next weekend, so will bring more updates about its legitimacy then.

Arrived home, and tested the WMO. It's 100% legit. Has the new sensor, works fine. Everything is good.

Okay, for anyone interested, I recieved the mouse. Here are some observations:

-bottom plastic is black and not grey like on my wmo 1.1a
-the cable is black and not grey like on my wmo 1.1.a
-the scroll wheel is black and not grey like on my wmo 1.1a


Every else seems to be the same. Both 1.1a and the one I got that doesn't say 1.1a on the sticker are X802382

I observed:

My WMO 1.1a, after a "PID some number" it says OEM.
My new WMO (no 1.1a, which judging by Anhedonique's guide should be the OEM) doesn't say OEM, but some 3 digit number.

So, why does my 1.1a say OEM at the bottom, then my new WMO doesn't say OEM at the bottom? mmm

Then, the 4 digits that judging Anhedonique's guide say the year/week of production if it's the old Avago sensor, and week/year if it's the new ST MLT04:

My old WMO 1.1a: 0742.
This is already dodgy here. 42 is not a valid year so judging by Anhedonique's guide it is a 1.1a with an old skipping Avago sensor? (year/week format, 2007, week 42).

Same happens with the new mouses i've bought. The format is year/week and not week/year.

Whats going on there? Either Anhedonique is wrong or every single WMO I have has an old skipping Avago sensor and not the MLT 04?? I didn't notice anything weird when playing with the one I used for years or the new one I tested for 5 minutes just now.

Btw: I have to clear it out, the mouses don't come with original package as I thought. But they say "Wheel Mouse Optical" and not 1.1a so I asume they were extrated from an original box. That's if what we thought about 1.1a = bulk, 1.1 = OEM is even correct.

I might have mixed the year/week periods, if you have a 42 in there it's pretty clear that 07 is the year of manufacture.

Post some images of the back, OC it to 500hz and do some quick 180° degree turns.

If it doesn't get stuck, jumps around or skips, you have the new avago sensor in.

I assume you have the black version, which negates all possibility of having old sensor in.

I've played a couple of duels already @ 500hz. I was able to flick as hard as I wanted and I didn't notice the sensor going retarded a single time. I just find weird that the whole mouse is black. I have never seen this before besides this weird one with a weird logo on it:

Thats basically how mine looks like (without the weird logo). It looks pretty badass tho. All black looks slick.

I think my black wmo also had black wheel and cord, like the one in the picture.

1.1a shouldn't have the OEM sticker, I don't know why it had one though. Maybe there was a bulk of OEM wmos :D

But nevertheless, it's got black shell and perform great in practice, that's all you need to know right now.

Today , after 5 days waiting , I got my package , no real box as stated before .

They look like the one from nemecel, completely black.

I looked at this pictures (scroll down a bit, theres a comparison between real and fake ) and if they are true I got a real one because mine look exactly like the real one expect itīs all black.

The p/n numbers on both WMO are different but the year/week thing is kinda strange, either Anhedonique mixed it up or I got the old sensor which I donīt think because I updated them to 500hz and both work PERFECTLY ingame. Year/Week on first is 09 45 and second 10 02 so I believe itīs year / week.

This is the most important thing that many people keep forgetting.
If you're comfortable with it and it doesn't have tracking issues, you don't need an online confirmation from an unknown person - after all the mouse should appeal to you.

If you're up for some challenge, you can change the switches and strip the cord.

Ok, im experiencing a weird behaviour during matchines. Sometimes when I do a quick flick it's like it sort of continues moving, as if you were rotating with left/right arrow. It's either me because of playing so many hours and im triping or I swear i've experienced something like this a couple of times. I can't pin point when it exactly happens, but it has to do with flicking.

sens 3.25, accel 0.25, resolution (what is that?), dpi (dunno, can you change that in a wmo? i guess 400), cm/360 (how do you calculate this if you play with accel?)

btw, im using the marks .reg builder thing

shouldnt you know a bit more about mice since the only thing you post about is that

res = 800x600 etc.
can't change dpi on a wmo
cm/360 is removing accel and measuring how many cm do you need to do a 360.

are you used to having 0.25 accel?
