Congratulations to the winners of QuakeCon 2012's Intel Quake Live CTF Open Championship.

Results & Prizing

1st-3rd

Until such time that the demos can be properly archived on the QuakeCon.org site, I have uploaded the CTF Open demos in their entirety to my FTP site.

This archive contains the Playoffs, Bronze, and Grand Finals demos; screenshots for the Grand Finals matches, match statistics information, as well as scans of the scorecards for each and every match.

If you are interested in only the bronze and grand finals, these are available in a single archive.

I anticipate uploading a similar package tomorrow containing the demos and results for the Intel Quake Live Duel Open.

Update: The demos are now being moved to the official QuakeCon.org archive, and are currently unavailable through syncerror.com. I'll update everyone once the demos are accessible again at quakecon.org.

I really appreciate the demos, I will watch all the games I missed at some point. SyncError this is really great, but maybe you can shed some light on why there are no vods to watch with zoot, disrepute and jahar casting? Did somebody let you down? or was it always the plan not to make them available? What's the story there?

an improvement over last years I suppose..

the whole streaming disaster reminds me of a conversation I had with zoot before the ctf event in nl, as it turned out zoot did not need me bugging him at all about it and he handled everything smoothly by himself.

Wish I could have bugged the people responsible for streaming this event though!

It's still 40-50 pounds per player (depending on whether the team consists of 4 or 5 players), but I'd say that's an acceptable fee.
Also, afaik the fees are added to the prizemoney.
