Im really interested if its a relaunch like the G1. If they claim its 800cpi, i think it will work with new drivers, unlike the old mx300, which requires mouseware (no win7 support)

it's not a relaunch, these must be originals. it says 800dpi on the box just like it did for the MX500 and MX310, i.e. if you install the Logitech drivers then the mouse works at 800dpi, but otherwise it's a 400dpi sensor by default. it's just shitty Logitech marketing during the beginning of the DPI craze.

And about the mx300s beeing old.. Maybe the guy was just lazy doing pics by himself and used google. There have been new 1000DPI G1's on ebay, with old G1 pics (old product specs). Just a guess. Maybe those are even G1's and the seller thinks its all the same, just coz of the pilot shape. Who the f*ck would've bought so many (actually more than 10) mx300's 8 years ago. Did he know there won't be a mouse like this again in the next 10 years or something like that?

i use a 1920x1080 resolution and 400/450 dpi is perfectly fine for me.

I don't see why people keep recommending the G100. It doesn't even have the same shape as the mx300 or G1. Not to mention the buggy sensor.
Get a real 800cpi G1, or if ur highsens get a 1000cpi G1. They are both on ebay.

The shape is very similar although you're right that it's not the same. I don't know about the buggy sensor, seems like a lot of people in the G100 thread were pretty happy with its performance
