I'm referencing to Wolf1e's post about prediction, it's harder to find prediction on diagonal lines than horizontal lines.

Also what do you mean, "Whatever that is"? Have you never heard of diagonals? A diagonal is a line joining two non-consecutive vertices of a polygon or polyhedron. Otherwise and informally known as any sloping line.

i don't know about you, but i don't draw lines in paint all day i play a shooter in... 3d. point being, i dislike these kind of tests in general, we should have figured out a way of judging sensor performance in the environment we play in, not paint/mousemovementrecorder/etc.

Yeah but the paint test is only for finding out if X mouse has prediction, that's the only reason for using it. And much like you I have a different opinion on my mouse depending on what game I play and how I'm playing it. For example, I don't like my Kinzu ingame but I like it in the desktop. I like my WMO ingame but I despise it on desktop.

I don't know how to post additional pictures, but I tried the WMO in the Enotus mouse test.

In all my tests, it reported 400 DPI versus the alleged 426 or some similarly random number. Additionally, polling rate reported 124 versus the 500 I understood forced.

Any help?

enotus snaps back to 400 dpi or 800 dpi, it doesn't deliver dpi exact values

to get high polling rate reports try mouserate.exe, and it will only work if you move the mouse fast enough (because if you just move it at 125 points per second it will just report 125 hz ofc)

I can't get the WMO to report over 124 Hz.
This leads me to assume it will malfunction prematurely in close combat situations.

At 125hz, it'll probably have a malfunction speed of like 1m/s?

Well, might help if you told me what you did and/or why it's not working.

From what I remember I just followed the instructions and it worked, you have to follow them VERY carefully. Might be worth rebooting after enabling test mode. Do this:

1. Download Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider
2. Download HIDUSBF
3. Run Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider and choose Enable Test Mode.
4. Reboot PC
5. Extract HIDUSBF to some folder, right click on HIDUSBF.inf and choose Install.
6. Run Setup.exe from HIDUSBF’s folder, check the Filter on Device box and select your desired sample rate.
7. Run Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider again, choose Sign a System file and insert full path to the installed HIDUSBF.sys file (For example: C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\HIDUSBF.sys).
8. Restart your computer and enjoy.
9. Verify by using Mouse Rate or DirectInput Mouse Rate (attached below as mouserate.exe and dimr.exe)
10. If you would like to remove the test mode watermark, run Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider and choose Watermark removal.
