I have the same problem with know/now (and other words - not so much with they/their/they're since I learned it in school) -

But because in my head the sound of the word find its way through the fingers/keyboard onto the screen - I am not concerned with how the word is written in that moment but how I can transfer the sound in my head into words not entirely following the grammar rules of the English language. Man being a native speaker of English is a pain in the ass.
