Nope I hate slipperyness, I can't maintain control of my mouse without wiping my pants every 5 minutes. That's why I use a Xai now ;)

Heh actually yea. I had before the original diamondback with red lights and then pro 1.6. Tried 3g too but it had too high lift off on goliathus speed.

The original diamondback was awesome once they fixed the pixelskipping with the original sensor.

These mice look very gimmicky and busy with unneeded things, which will likely make them heavier than needed.

Anyways, I can't stand the high cpi marketing thing, but I am waiting for a mouse to come out that has up to 10,000 cpi.

That way I can set quake to make one smallest iteration of the quake guy per mouse count, and still have a very playable sensitivity as high as 16.6 cm/360 if I want it. I am curious as to how that would feel. Almost certainly wouldn't be worth the money though.

For example in quake live there are 65536 possible iterations in a 360° turn. So if you set sensitivity to 1, and m_yaw/pitch to 360/65536 (0.0054931640625) then each mouse count will move the quake guy by one of these iterations, assuming in_mouse 2 and no other influences.

At 400 CPI this results in a 414 cm/360 though, a bit low :-P

5000 cpi was about 33 cm/360 which is still lower than is comfortable for me.

Does doing this have any real benefit? I don't know. I get a kick out of this stuff anyways.

A new phillips sensor would be great if it were able to fix the z-axis tracking issues.

I was joking but yea really we all are waiting for good laser sensor without any acceleration and z axis issues etc.

It's so the mice match their [TT's] cases. At least as far as gaudy and busy are concerned.

Razer was the closes to a perfect mouse with the abyssus just need a better sensor and the settings I stated further up and better build quality at a cheaper price.
