Since you're going to do this weekly, I'd recommend a change for the Quake Live config you're using.

- Change the crosshair to something simple, like the + one for example.
- Use higher graphic settings (r_picmip 0, 32 bit textures, etc). Since you're not streaming this video live, you can make it look better visually for everyone (video compression would need to be slightly less extreme)
- Use the enemy model "keel" (cg_forceenemymodel keel/bright) more people use this model, it's more common, etc.
- Turn off smoke (cg_smokeRadius_RL "0" , cg_smokeRadius_GL "0" , cg_smoke_SG "0")
- Turn off muzzle fash (cg_muzzleFlash "0")

This will make the video look a bit cleaner, more visually pleasing too.

I agree, at ANY event, if you're showing a game like Quake to people on a projectory, NEVER picmip it. I understand it's less overhead to do it (you can stream from the same PC as you show on the projectory) but it makes the game look so terrible =\

Dude: So here we go. It is dm 13 you are facing cooler all time opponent. How was the spawn?

Rapha: The spawn off the start was okay em, he actually got the more favorable spawn because he gets rockets, ya, ra and then he pulls a gutsy move to rj to the side. So he has got weapons and what not. BUt I am okay because I grabbed mega, I get some shards and I got a rocket that I can defend myself with. So I know (.) Okay since he has shaft I don't really want to out to the middle - just yet. But now that I have got one, I can defend myself and I can set up for the next items that are coming up.

Dude: So the next big point for you was to get the timing on the red (which you use did, right?

Rapha: mh. (as in yes) which is why I knew that I could dive for the mega while I heared him getting the red.

Dude: Which leaves you enough time to grab it, go there, and get out.

Rapha: So right now he is probably around 100 200 so I gotta be careful. He manages to read me very well, so he sneaks up from behind but I managed to escape. So, I am in a bad situation but I've got positioning and I can just make sure okay leave myself an escape route. Just try to collect some items as I can to built myself up. And then I can find any opportunity to attack.

Dude: Not only did you have positioning, you also had timing - red is up - mega is up. So you give him mega to to for red.

Rapha: Yeah, but I barely survive

Dude: 8Hp - yeah that is not too much.

Rapha: And here is camping out and I knew it. I also knew that he would be easy to hit with plasma where I thought where he was. So it was alright. I did a ton of damage. But now he has got positioning on all the items - he had rocket jumped up to the other yellow. So now I need some more rockets. So either A I wait until he gets the lg - which he does, he picks it up now - and now it is a battle for the red. And I steal it again

Rapha: I think yes. If he did not turn and try and do damage - he could have fallen to the red - no problem and taken it again. So, but yeah here I knew that he was vulnerable - So I am gonna do as much damage as possible. Because if I die he is going to be very low and he cannot do anything off of it which is exactly what happens. If you watch the VOD you will see that Cooller only had 4 health at the end of the battle. So he grabs the yellow and maybe up to 75 hp now. I get red and I am in good positioning for the mega which is coming right up. Even though I died - I did so I could gain control. So now I know okay he probably has the other yellow now. so he is maybe at a 100 health and 100 armor. So now I need to do a little damage to set him off so he can't trap me at red

Dude: How often does it happen in middle that you pull out the shaft and you can't even reach him?

Rapha: Quite often. There are a lot of back and forth dancing battle which is why I sometimes pull to the machine gun until I know for sure that I can do lightning gun damage.

And Now you are in a good position. You have 180 hp and 120 armor plus know when mega comes up plus you know where he was.

Rapha: Nods. So what I am trying to do is cut him off on the map. So I'm looking for him maybe he will be in odd places because he is out of control - so he tries to hide from me or something. [...]
Which is exactly what happens and I catch him at the shards and pick up my first kill

Dude: two well placed rockets that do the job.

Rapha: Right here based of of his spawn I was able to grab yellow. I knew I could go for this yellow and get back to red all before he could grab anything.

Dude: So pretty much no armor for him to take.

Rapha: yeah. And right here - he did so much damage for the plasma gun which is very important because in all honestly with his mistakes I should have gotten out with 350 (health and armor). And here he somehow manages to survive of three rockets of the spawn. And he did a good read on me - because I knew I would go to yellow before red and he steals the red from right under me.

Dude: A missed place rocket puts you in a bad situations. There is not much you can do.

Rapha: Even though it is frustrating that this happened. We are about even control so the game isn't like thrown out the window. So right now I'm like - so he has mega and I'll just collect the yellows and get the red and now I can start to do something. Because I know that he will go to LG perhaps I can trap him up top.

Dude: What is your feeling - we are barely at half time right now. You got control more than he did or or is it like even like the score, like 2:2. [says like much :D]

Rapha: He probably had like 40 health left when he was leaving. So, but for me to go and attack that it was too risky at the time with his positioning I would have probably eaten two rockets to the face.

Rapha: So in heinsight (looking back, so to speak) he probably knew like the type of routes I was trying to take to catch him off and he was able to read me. And here he was really weak so what I was trying to do was get up there to get the red if my angle was better possibly but it was a very risky move. I was pretty much trying to end the game with pretty much two minutes left. And definitely didn't work out. [laughs]

Dude: Yeah, we'll after all we have to admit that it is Cooller you are playing.

Rapha: Yeah, absolutely. But here it is still okay. I have a decent stack and I know the red and mega time. And I do damage when he wanted to leave red. So it is a really good situation for me.

Dude: If he comes out of that teleporter and gets at least one rocket and then a little bit of splash why does he go so aggressive into your direction.

Rapha: Because I think it is based on his style. He always wants control of the map and he'll do everything possible to get the ability to run the map.And at this point with him being down he was trying [I guess] to push his luck. As I speak of pushing my luck I did right there "marching" [not sure if he said marching :D] out trying to get away which I did. And the only good thing about this situation is like I said I still have the timing of red and mega. So even though I am picking up the lesser item on the map and trying to stay unseen I can pretty much know when he picks up the next one, and when the next one comes up. So hopefully I know when there will be synced and I can steal one.

Dude: It's less than two minutes on the clock and it is a a 3:2 and you are a 100 125 right now. How intense is this game actually?

Rapha: Well, it is really intense because he has got the control so I gotta play perfect to make sure that he does not get the frag. Because right now with under two minutes I have the lead. My focus is - okay I've got the lead just run the clock out - find a way to run the clock out. And it is all that I'm trying to do. So right now I knew that the yellow is coming up so I tried to secure it which is why I laid the nades up top so the only place he could come in was the bottom.


Dude: You let him take red.

Rapha: Yepp, I know when red is in case I anything goes wrong like I die I can take it. And I heard that he might be there [09:29] that's why I did not drop which ended up being good for me. So I can retreat over here and grab this yellow and here is a mistake. Instead of me just trying to get down to the red I thought and I panicked. I thought he would try around and hit me down to the bottom and then I would be screwed. So I just hopefully tried to do some damage and maybe know him of into the lava with a rocket but now he has got the kill and full control. So now I need to play and play like a ghost [he says something similar but it is hard to me to find out what] for the 30 seconds and just be unseen. Pick up shards and if I see him, as soon as I see him, start to run. And just hope for overtime and give myself another two minutes to have an opportunity to win the game.

Dude: This was probably one of the better moves.

Rapha: Yeah, I like knew about when mega was coming up so I really wanted is the time but he jumped on early so okay I'll do some free damage and get away and just keep just doing what I'm doing is collecting the shards and force an overtime. I've done what I've wanted. And now what I probably was thinking is 'okay he had control for, let's say, two minutes. So what he is trying to do since he hasen't

Kill smoke and music volume (and maybe change to Keel instead of TankJr) as others have suggested but some better mics would be nice aswell. It sounds like you are sitting in a basement with a $20 mic from Walmart or smth.

We needed a product name, so what was more obvious than calling it Fresh Pots? And there is more to come from that, just as you need the coffee.

We also call our Steelseries Qck SK edition "the fresh pots of pads".

remove the Fresh part from the name cause it's not.
