very true, i was hoping I wouldnt get an appropriate cynical blunt and effective response of your owns nature but i was taking the lazy way out. I basically want to know whats REALLY fuckign different - physics are and is the hitbox a new or old one?

If you're so damn lazy to read changelog, let me repost what's REALLY fucking different:

- Changed Quad factor from 4x to 3x.
- Changed Stepheight from 18 to 22 (stepheight is basically maximum distance that you're lifted up if you encounter a ledge slightly above your feet)
- Added Chain Jumping (this is not described by id software in detail, but it seems like chainjumping adds a little boost upward if you encounter a steppable ledge during a jump).

(also, I was a bit wrong about changes to weapons, there actually are some changes to nailgun, but those aren't really important, are they?)

That's what the changes are. But if you read dimwits in comments, you will read utter ridiculous bullshit about faster strafejumps, higher jumping, faster rockets, game becoming ridiculously fast, completely new physics and lots and lots of nonsense like that. It's basically just placebo effect - you change a little bit somewhere, and people start to imagine that EVERYTHING is changed now and they start feeling fake difference where there is actually no difference whatsoever.

What really those physics changes bring in casual meaning:
- Easier movement on stairs
- Some jumps are easier to make (i.e. if you miss ledge a little bit, you will still be lifted up onto it because of increased step height)
- There are some new jumps given by boost from chainjumping
- Some jumps that were impossible to do earlier, or very unreliable, because you had to really max out your speed to not fall down below step height distance from a ledge you want to jump on, are now possible because step height is bigger, so you can start with slower speed, fall down a little more and still get lifted up on the ledge.
