HoQLeagues - CA 2v2 + DUEL Finals! (37 comments)

The House of Quake - HoQLeagues Clan Arena 2v2 & 1v1 DUEL Leagues Finals are tomorrow night (Thursday 8th July) with a live stream courtesy of levelupyourgame.net

First will be the CA 2v2 Semi Finals at 13:00 CDT, 8 July 2010 and then the Final to follow straight after, estimating 15:00 CDT, 8 July 2010. With the DUEL Final hopefully following straight after.

CA 2v2 Semi Finals:

meK^ vs PBJ
skzi vs +fwd

DUEL Semi Finals:

HawK 1:2 daxio
Kaide 1:2 sz

DUEL Grand Final:

daxio vs sz

Season 2 will start at Monday, 19th July, and the Signups will close right at Midnight. Prizes will be provided by SteelSeries and will be announced soon.

season one was fun, will play again. but while competing with non pro opponents is fun, watching them isnt, so im not sure if this will get a lot of viewers

sure you can play, my statement was about this season. but still, they have divisions so its only good if great players promote hoq by participating and everyone can still compete on their level

Nothing really wrong, but if you compare to cpma or wsw netcodes, then it's still inferior.

Also, there's no projectile antilag in the ql netcode, which is bad when you get more than 30ms.

With maps like T3 you'll see some fantastic scraps :)

T5 is better than T3 cuz you can't fall in the wrong place :), and middle of the map is more interesting. Also, there's more variety of playstyle @ T5, cuz if you don't want to meet your opponent at start, then you have the possibility to hide inside and play defensive, which is imo quite nice. The indoor area in T3 is way too tight to have some interesting battles :).

That said, T5 is a really decent map, but thunderstruck is still superior :).

I think skzi vs +fwd will be close, not sure who will win that (ok maybe skzi :).

meK^ vs PBJ have to admit my money is on meK^.

As for the final, it's best of 5 and with the variety of maps you really can't but your money on any1 for this, only the best will win :)

If I could put money on both the duel and the 2v2 finals...

DUEL: sz ftw
2v2: meK^ ftw.

So it's bound to be the complete opposite to whatever I say :D

The 2v2 playoffs were seeded randomly (picked from a hat) due to the fact that some of the teams were not really in their right divisions (teams were asked to suggest their division based upon their skill).

This season the playoffs shall be seeded normally and teams should be in their right divisions.
